TYM once had a thread that asked the question "does 0.99999999999 = 1?". It was hotly debated on both sides with lucid and well thought out arguments for and against.

We will debate anything.

If you are looking for something that approaches a generally agreed upon tier list, check back in a couple years. We will still be working it out. :)

players are constructing tier lists off of a characters tool set which isn't as good of a choice as some one would think. a true tier list can not be made until every character representative(s) all agree on what every single match up is for every single character to label a character best .. worst .. mid tier, etc. that's why we do not have a true tier list

I've seen some lists, and there's a couple people that are commonly found near the bottom that I think are still waiting to be completely discovered. Considering every character in the game has 2 armored launchers, one being an overhead, the balance is a little tighter than other NRS title(s).

And one only has to look in the past to see that this is basically impossible.

Kind of a long winded highdeas kinda thing so bear with me?

Since Winter Brawl (Feb 21-23) and Southern California Regional (Feb 28-Mar 1) are quickly approaching, as a community, we need agree on what has been considered a "major" since 1.06. Then take all the Top 8 placers for each major and stick em in a thread/convo.

They'll bicker back and forth for pages, without any posts from other members (unless specifically called upon for MU experience.) If a community member disagrees/wants to bring up a specific point, they would post it on the Top 8'er's profile page where the Top 8 player would debunk/ explain his reasoning or bring the information to the thread/convo and credit the question for the others to ponder about. This will limit the number of posts you have to read for a tier list as well as speed the conversation along.

Of course, a serious tone will be needed (ie no popcorn eating pictures/RickyRaws Frost pics :p) to give a ROUGH estimate of a current tier list. I feel this could fuel a competitive drive in newer players as we seem to have picked up some since the hype of Kumite in Tennessee.

I'm hoping that with the HYPE MAJORS coming up and the coverage for Injustice being pretty good, with a somewhat community-agreed Tier list, we can bring back all the players we lost in the Days of Patches and the horror that was EVO.

Make your own tier list. Because your guess is as good as everyone else's...as long as you have MMH, Aquaman, Batman, and anybody else logical in top 5

i dont think anyone would disagree with this, he's the best or 2nd best character in the game until someone finds game breaking tech with another char
on the topic of everyone coming together to make a tier list it either wont happen because enough ppl wont agree or it just wont be accurate. also you dont need to be a top 8 placer to know matchups.

In the recent "Let's Be Serious Here" podcast (http://testyourmight.com/threads/the-lets-be-serious-here-podcast-episode-3-with-special-guest-gga-16-bit.41095/), 16 Bit, M2Dave, Perfect Legend, and Tom Brady made an official, unofficial tier list. Probably not what you're looking for exactly but it fits the whole "NRS FGC coming together to make a tier list" criteria.

This is what they came up with:
Top Tier: Aquaman, Bane, Batgirl, Batman, Black Adam, Flash, Green Lanern, Killer Frost, Martian Manhunter, Raven, Sinestro, Superman, Wonder Woman, Zod

Mid Tier: Deathstroke, Doomsday, Green Arrow, Harley Quinn, Hawkgirl, Lex Luthor, Lobo, Nightwing, Solomon Grundy, Zatanna

Low Tier: Ares, Catwoman, Cyborg, Joker, Scorpion, Shazam

ohhh yeah this just happend. this is probably as close as youre gonna get to an official tier list, there may be 1 or 2 inaccuracies (GL aint top) but its a pretty good list

Why do people care so much about tier lists? Just pick a character with some dirt and rape, everybody has dirt in this game. Except joker.
