Oh boy, hehe. MK9.. Never got an established tier list. Just a bunch of people with separate tier lists, that overlapped to some degree.

It took a while to get a reasonable picture, and it was still evolving when the game's tournament life ended.

Injustice is even tougher to call, since a lot of the characters are much closer to each other in terms of viability. But if you search around, you'll find people's individual lists.

I can understand that. I can imagine the uproar of players across the internet if they found out by an "Official Tier List" that their character was the worst in the game lulz.

IDK multiple big names in the NRS FGC coming to together to work on/agree to a balanced hard-thought list of which characters are where.

That's cool and all but we also need to see the level of competition people are judging the matchups from. I might beat every ares I play with shazam but that's not to say they're all playing the mu right or even if i'm playing the mu right. We figure out the "right" way over time, which is only based on experience.

He's a lot better now. The buff to his trait helps immensely in some of his harder matchups, combined with the new tech people have come out with for his oki and his ridiculous damage.

The tiers are super wide open at this point. Ten characters or so in the top five conversation, and all but 4 or 5 are in talks for top ten. I like it, the current state of the game breeds character diversity in tournaments.

All I know is my boy Shazam better not be anywhere near the bottom. I main him now, and I will not downplay. Dude is high-mid tier after all of his buffs and it's awesome. All hail the b2, 3 popup string...though unsafe, it's deadly when used on a read.
