This is not a popular opinion, but the top 5 could end up looking very close to this.
I actually think Aquaman will fall out of the top 5 in time and be the gatekeeper at like 6 or 7. He does have some matchups where he has no safe options those will make his luster right now fade. Also Aquamans will eventually start to QQ about having bad wakeups.
No one is going to believe this right now however. It is going to take a long time before Martian, Flash and Zod are farmed out. Right now we just don't truly know how good these characters are.
Bane is 20% fundamentals 80% auto pilot. The down playing needs to stop he beats the majority of the cast bad.
Flash is almost like an anti-meta breaker. I predict once he has been farmed out he will force you to play neutral. People are still living in a fantasy world about him vs anyone who relies on ranged combat (except maybe Zod). Also once Flash players start stuffing wakeups better welcome to soft vortexs anywhere on the screen.
Zod is something else. I feel that I am not allowed to speak fully about what I think, but soon everyone will cry about this character. IAZBs makes Zod Sinestro much more favorable for Zod I'll just say that.
Do I even need to talk about Martian.
as an aquaman main, i fucking hate his blowupable wake ups ;_;
but he is fundamentally strong as fuck, good footsies great AA
he has good full screen ground control (FTD) and his trait helps put a stop to aquamans weakness of getting knocked down and haveing shitty wake ups to deal with
great damage output
over all i believe aquaman is top 5 when in the right hands and wont fall out of top 5 cus AM players will just adapt to the tuff MUs, overall he still has great tools
canceling block strings into water shield is the future
