Day -4MONTHS Dual Jin main
Now to begin, I'm not going to sit here and act like I've ever placed high...or act like I'm known...or any of that, so you can leave the "Who are you?" comments at the door.
Now, to begin with this while trying not to be cheesy
I started playing Injustice with plans of doing it competitively, leaving Call of Duty (which I was pretty successful at) because of the community. Needless to say, most of the CoD pros really don't give two shits about you, playing with you, or teaching you shit. While I didn't need it, there were several people to ask out of pure kindness and they'd get ignored completely.
Injustice was immediately attractive to me because I'm a huge comic book nerd. I began using Batman and all of the forums on frame data, metagame, so-on were so incredibly helpful and it was awesome to see the high level players interacting with the new players with the pure hope of building the competitive community. They weren't scared to have a few other players be really good and always had an open hand for everyone I saw, including me.
There was information that I received from top Batman players, but I wasn't growing at the rate I wanted to...I watched EVO2013, was a huge fan of it and decided to settle with being a fan and go back to Call of Duty lol I guess I took the shitty way out.
While playing CoD the 2nd time around, I went to a major tourney in Knoxville and my team placed top 4, adding to an impressive online tourney resume. But the whole time, I wasn't having fun. I couldn't really talk to any pros...I proved I was better than most but they still wouldn't give a shit. Like what did I have to do to get known?? Then I realized I was having way more fun sucking on Injustice than being good at CoD. 99% of it is because of you guys.
I had a blast with you guys, from learning, to funny stuff y'all do (I'm from TN, yes I said y'all), just the overall environment is so much funner and I love it.
So, I guess this is more of a thank you to everyone in the TYM community and a "I'm happy to be back" kind of thing.
This time I'm not giving up because of the learning curve. This time around I'm actually gonna work my ass off to be a top player. Until then, I'll be trolling, getting trolled, sharing information and injecting every single bit of information I can from this incredible community.
Once again, Thank You.
PS - I'm making a new account and I'm not getting the conformation email...so for now, the old one will have to do.
