Feedback for King of Rebelos event + the possible continuation of pre-major events?

I almost liked the stream chat war between 16Bit and WonderfChef and many others more than the tournament. Made the intermissions less bothersome. (you should really be able to skip your turn in kotr).

There really wasn't anything bad that could be said to the stream. Gamerblake's stream quality was a little a low, but completely acceptable. (His commentary is godlike btw) On that note the only suggestion I have is to maybe add more than 1 commentator to the stream. It would it make it super hype, but will probably lag the stream too much.

I wish the best of luck to Pig, Gamerblake, and everyone who helped make the tourney as it was a blast to watch. Who knows, maybe online tournaments could reach 1000+ views and be viewed as a legit competetive event. (If only we had GGPO netcode)

For future tourneys i need advice
- How can we get more entrants (More entrants = more money for winners)
- Who can help spread the word of future tourneys on other sites (but they'd need to come here to register)
- Should second place get money back or bigger cut?
- Should there be a player minimum
- Should @a f0xygrampa @Qwark28 be allowed to enter if they commit to come ?
- Should winners of each tourney be allowed to compete in next tourney?
- $10.00 buy in enough too much? too low?


I hope in the future @AK/RM GamerBlake will always stream. I love how he commentates every match w passion.

Hitting up and advertising on the Injustice reddit may help (They seem surprisingly active).

I would also say allow the EU guys to compete as well, but it is true that they would need a much higher pot to be able to come to the event.
That said, if they commit to coming should they win then I don't see why they couldn't compete.

Yes, the quality was low because I have to use screen region to broadcast anything. As the Hauppauge HD PVR (my capture device) cannot be used as a compatible streaming device, I'm forced to circumvent the issue with a less favorable option. I'm sorry if it annoyed anyone...I'm trying to upgrade as fast as my funds will allow.

About your suggestion, I made a status update mentioning the idea of guest commentators last night, so we agree there. ;)

@AK Pig Of The Hut, I know how you can get some more entrants -- but I want to make sure that everyone is prepared to deal with the issues that come along with that. If you want to talk on Skype soon I'll explain more.

But yeah, I thought about that right after I said it. If it was just the tourney then I think it'd be good, but there's the whole streaming thing that really makes it fun. We'll see after March if KotH's are added with lobbies

I would honestly have to say no to Foxy and Quark as not everyone will be able to connect with them being over seas. I don't see why the over seas guys couldn't put together there own version of this.

When you can't connect to your opponent it opens a whole other can of worms.

Also, Just once, Just one fuckin time. I would like to see the winner actually go to the tournament that they win for. I understand some people cant go, but then to me, that person should not play in the tourny.

This is to get someone there that really really wants to go, and just can't afford it. Also the hype of having the online winner there can add to extra shenanigins and story lines.

Now with neither winner going to Final Round, the hype of the tournament is lost on me.

Oh well.

Glad everyone had a great time though.

The only real con I had for the tournament was something that's completely out of the control of the organizers: its just guddamn annoying how a psuedo KOTH lobby has to be made to stream the matches. I watched most of the matches on stream but I have to admit that at some point I got kinda bored with the interlude between each match and wandered off, and while I genuinely think 3 out of 5 is the way to play this game it did make some things kind of drag on.

That being said it was a great experience and I'd love to be part of more of these in the future. If this was just winner take all and spend as you will I might be less inclined to be a future pot monster, but the fact that its built to give new blood a chance to make it out to the larger events makes me view it as an investment in the community, and I have zero regrets doing that now or in the future regardless of if I ever actually win.

Which can easily be fixed by giving the opponent an automatic win, it's not like we can't connect to people all the time.

And maybe because very few people play this game over here.

This concern, I sympathize all too well with. I mentioned in the midst of my commentating that it's disappointing how Injustice doesn't have the spectator mode for multiplayer gatherings.

According to @Mr. Mileena, he cannot make Final Round on the date it's set for. He entered in the hopes of sponsoring a friend. Who that is, is for him to disclose.

As for Kinetic Balding, he's apparently twelve years old.

And why not?

If the player in question who can't go to a tourney wants to play and sponsor another player with their winnings, why should we stand in the way of that?

I agree if you can't go then you shouldn't play in the tournament. Besides that I thought the tournament was ran good and was entertaining to watch. Too bad the winners are not going and just killed the hype though.

You have the original hd pvr? From what I heard it doesn't do well recording footage, doesn't Xsplit pick it up as a recording device or a screen region is the only possible way?
