I like what I like. Strings are limiting IMO. MK and IGAU can stay the same but I think they should really study their competitor's stuff more. It can only help them to know more things.
I mean, your preferences are understandable. But to me, I'd rather see NRS games be games that a lot of people really love and other people might not, vs. games that everyone kind of likes and no one is really passionate about because they aren't that different.
SF and KI have their specific niche in the market and that's great; but it'd wouldn't be good for NRS to lose their hallmarks in the pursuit of chasing every other fighting game, only to end up with something that doesn't strongly identify itself.
Strings and block pressure have their own interesting mind games and it's one of the things that made MK9 so fun and truly unique. I wish people would try to appreciate systems for what they are, rather than trying to turn everything into the same fighting game.
This is pretty bad....my first question when I read it was what contractual obligation DH was under in terms of balance patches and DLC, and it sounds like there is none and a new developer will be taking over the reigns asap and they're going to have to learn the engine and pick up where they left off. There's a lot of potential for things to go wrong here....especially in terms of polish and character balancing. Don't have an xbone so it doesn't really affect me...but this is the last thing the game needed right now....
Now I could be wrong but one thing that will be lost is that connectivity that DH had built with the fans of the game. Since it seemed they paid extremely close attention to the community from what I observed. (Correct if wrong). If someone else tries to handle it, it'd might be good might not be. But in an of the same breath, its like having someone else raise your baby. People liked the DH/MS's approach (I not being one of them) but for those that did like it, its gotta be rough to see this kind of thing. And a shame that connectivity might be lost in the transition. Especially since we've seen how different teams balance games and another studio might not take developing the game seriously due to the fact that its DH's source work and not their own.
All my beefs with the Xbox One aside though its like everything about that console has to bring up a gigantic shit storm that no one wants to deal with. My condolences. Sincerely.
No need to condemn. Just hope for the best and move along...oh... you're someone who i DON'T need to type this to. Carry on sorry for the alert blip. False alarm. A like for your troubles?
Remember, there are some people out there making videos and posts abroad saying "Micrsoft fucks gamers again." "Killer instinct is a load of cow poo" .. Just not in this thread so far.
In all likelihood it will not be Capcom or NRS who takes over. It will probably be an internal development team at Microsoft who may not have any experience in the genre.
Man this came out of left field for me, I'm gonna hope for the best though. I'm wondering if this will be brought up soon (Considering I work at an Amazon Warehouse). I'm kinda hoping that with the acquisition They'll let some of the team still work on KI and whatnot. They for the most part have been focusing on 2 games (KI3 and Strider) and canned the rest of their projects. Well time to support the game as best as I can (me being someone who goes to someone else's house to play KI3 because I can't afford an XB1)
On a SIDE note: Secretly I hope I can be somehow transferred to DH and then go play Strider before everyone else does? Maybe get a free XB1 and KI3 AND Strider?! lol
9 standings jabs while a char is on juggle stage? fuck that. next thing you will ask is probably gonna be shitty netcode, input bug, player 1 advance and massive block-stuns...

#NoOneListened2014 But no one could've called it getting to THIS point.
As long as Ken is still there, it will be good. He is the Ed Boon of KI.
He is the guy that has the passion and vision. If he was gone and it was just MS I would be shitting my pants. As of right now, I am not to worried since the main core is still in place.
