oh dear.doesnt everyone turn into a child at night and touch themselves? or is video games an masturbation above you?
Grundy's in the same boat.Everyone knows Bane is brokesauce now, so he's probably not the people's champ any more
I don't think so, or more people would probably be picking him up. He is good, thoughGrundy's in the same boat.
I've personally never subscribed to the whole "if he were good more people would play him" thing, though I could be wrong. I feel we're a small community, and the number of top players is relatively small, so most characters won't have a lot of representation. Relatively speaking, there weren't that many Kenshis in MK9 either. Plus, let's keep in mind, the game is still getting figured out and we still don't fully have any idea what's going on with a lot of characters.I don't think so, or more people would probably be picking him up. I think it's true though. If you get a bunch of competitive players together, and they figure out that that can get more return for X amount of effort, they will generally gravitate in that direction. It's just natural tendency.I've personally never subscribed to the whole "if he were good more people would play him" thing, though I could be wrong. Regardless, I really think Grundy is ridiculous. Only time will tell. He's hype as hell, as is Bane. no matter how good/bad they end up being. I really think NRS did a hell of a job designing the big characters.
It's too soon to tell though. Think about how long it took for everyone to agree about how good some characters in MK were. At this point in MK's life, people thought Johnny Cage was mediocre and Raiden was super top tier. I do think we're generally ahead in Injustice compared to where we were in MK at the same time in the game's life span, but things are hardly set in stone.I think it's true though. In MK9, Kenshi actually took a lot of work to be able to win at a top level as a Kenshi-only main -- he was only relatively easier in certain matchups. That's why by the end of MK9, there were a ton of pocket Kenshis. Not mains, but people who would pull Kenshi out to win a MU in Top 8. Basically they did whatever gave them more return without having to expend the full effort of mastering all of Kenshi's top-character MUs.
Likewise in Injustice, when it was announced that Flash and Wonder Woman were "broke", a lot of players picked them up early. But when they saw how much work it was to get wins at a high level, about 95% of those players dropped those two characters for new ones. Likewise with the people that played Catwoman, and Killer Frost.
Put another way -- I don't think you'll see a Grr with Grundy. If you look at how much work Tyrant has to do just to keep his character competitive with the top, it's pretty scary and that's why it's natural that he's the only player so far who seems to be making a dent in the top cast with Grundy.
Yeah, we'll see, and I'm open to being proven wrong. It's too soon to tell though. Think about how long it took for everyone to agree about how good some characters in MK were. I don't think Grundy's absolutely top 10 (actually I have no idea yet) but not being top 10 in Injustice is different than not being top 10 in MK (in MK, it meant you'll have a really hard time competing), in Injustice, at least for now, you're still in good shape.
