KIT may be in the history books but for the super heroes and villains of Chicago the grind never ends and the Ghost Battle Series continues. As the tournament neared it's end the winners finals was a familiar contest between KIT top 8 finalists GGA Max and GGA 16 Bit(me!). Bane and Catwoman have held a stranglehold on GBS the past 7 weeks and one would again earn a spot in the grand finals. Unfortunately for Ms. Kyle the power of venom was too much for her to handle and Max would move on to the grand finals and pick up a bounty point for beating last week's winner. Meanwhile in the losers bracket Jeremiah was storming through the losers bracket with Doomsday, carving his path to grand finals by defeating Rational Jim, Pimpimjim and then finally winning a close 3-2 set against me. In the grand finals the two hosses clashed and it was bowling shoe ugly. Bane triumphed and Max earned his 7th GBS victory and regained his spot as the current #1 seed heading into the final 2 weeks of season 2.
Also in the bracket, Truth debuted his new character, Batgirl. Although this first appearance of Babs was unsuccessful the games were close and with a bit more training and execution Batgirl may be a threat in the future. Newcomer William O'Goodes brought Grundy and Batman to the table and was promptly bodied. Will we ever see this mystery man at GBS again? PPJ used all Martian this week and showed the progress he's been making with his best showing yet. Finally Fill Pops proved to the world that he is the Lobo of the universe by defeating Saucy Jack's highest level of play complete meta Superman.
