My pool looks pretty tough. Lots of killers in there. Gotta find out who can block earthshaker and who can't. Ive heard it's a good move.

Stacked tourney.

So @NB Semi Evil Ryu and @ImNewbieSauce , what do you guys think of your pools at Kumite? :D
I would really like to play some of the non-Chicago guys in the first rounds before I bump into someone from Chicago, since I've spent about 90% of my offline time with this game playing one of those guys. I want to see how well I do against others from outside the region.

My offline experience since UFGT9 has, literally, been like this: 80% GGA/Chicago, 19.9% other random Midwest players, and a 30 - 40 minute set against Glass Sword.

lol

Hey guys!

Here's a topic for us to discuss:

I've decided to start hitting training mode and doing something a bit different. Instead of dealing with tech, combos, etc, I've decided to try and work on "defense sessions."

Basically, I'd like to be able to prepare myself for how to deal with basic stuff that every tourney player should be able to do.

What do I mean?

Here's a few examples:

Blocking Earth shaker correctly.
Teching throws.
Proper invincible wake-ups.
Knowing the space of GL's lift/b13/b12 strings.

Among other things.

Which is why i want to ask: What does the team think are fundamental things every basic level tourney player should be able to do? Is it punishing Black Adam dive kicks? Dashing forward/MB B3 MMH teleports every time on reaction? MB B3 Hawkgirl mace charge/jump back 2 mace charge? Knowing the exact spacing and what your options are after a Killer Frost slide?

Let's talk about this.

GGS to @NRF Everlast @JustPressingButtons @kyle ogden Shout out to whoever was the one blasting Miley Cyrus into ASAP Rocky.

Also, is there anything planned for practice tonight? Just curious.:)
There was too much Miley going on last night! Lol. That was a lot of fun. Fighting your GA is always stressful.
@kyle ogden is improving greatly! I was pretty impressed.
So is @Durvalis_Maximus. Just needs to improve dat connection. Lol.
And I always have fun with JPB! Lobo of NY!
