KI Team taking it very slow w/ balance patches, "it's way too early"

Both games are great.

This community gives me a limp dick from all the bitching.

Believe me, if you haven't played; it has it's problems. But it's still a great game.

Injustice is as good as ever and like others have said, has crazy diversity and characters that are viable for days.

To compare a game that is nine months old and a game that is two months old is ridiculous.

Both are getting shit on by other communities streams and trying to be buried under Mahvel and SF.

Not one game of KI was streamed. Only Top 8 will be streamed tomorrow. What the fuck?

Way to support the "community", which apparently only consists of two games...

KI has its own issues like ZERO tourney scene
I wish I had the desire to play KI... but every time I do, it feels like an unfinished game. Not that any of the characters feel unfinished, but that there are only six of them. Is there even an arcade mode yet? Maybe I'll buy it when there are at least 12 characters.

Cold day in hell...
I'm glad they're taking their time but people shouldn't be taking a shot at nrs based off of this. I hope with mk 10 they go a little slower but let's not pretend right now it doesn't look like they did a damn good job with injustice.

I struggle w the same, I also struggle w the Xbox GUI, MU finding system, requirements of joining parties, no character I truly like, repetitive gameplay (could be just me). It feels like KI dev team said YO Microsoft we need this released fall of '14 and they demanded have a demo ready for release and they came up w an odd way to sell It

Positives though:
The most bad ass sound and music ever
Gfx
Training mode
Net code

This is stupid for people to take shots at NRS

How about realizing how much NRS has done for INJ. KI has its own issues like ZERO tourney scene

It's a big problem and I hope that it improves . Wish best for both
Should have been made multiplat. If KI was out on the PS4, there is no doubt that it'd have a way larger number of players than the XBone, and more than likely, a larger tourney scene. Or A tourney scene for that matter.

NRS definitely deserves props for their continued improvement and concern for the community.

Because the topic train is already well off the tracks, has there actually been any confirmation from NRS that there will be no more patches? I know 1.06 was the big balance patch, but I don't remember it ever being listed as the final one. We even had a mini patch after that changing Zatanna and Harley (the "hotfix").

How many times does it need to be said? Microsoft own (not just have the rights to, but actually own) the Killer Instinct license so PS4 was never going to happen. Ever. At all.

KI coming to Ps4 would be like Mario coming to sega genesis

Yeah, that's the reality of it now that Microsoft owns them. In an imaginary world where they put together a full product of what KI is now and it was multiplat, it'd be king of the FGC for a while.

@MylesWright_

I'll be back 3ing
Shots fired at NRS for patching the game you all complained about to get patched. You get the top tiers like Superman and Black Adam nerfed as well as the mid tier like Killer Frost and Deathstroke and still aren't happy

My only issue w INJ is imagine if what the game was in oct was released in April

Total kreygasm :)

I feel more time was needed but it is what it is and we all should enjoy what we have

The question is though, would NRS have made even half the changes to characters/gameplay without feedback from players? Would they have done anything to the problems of Rooftop (or interactibles in general), MB B3/F3, or the multitude of character changes?

IMO Yes

they wanted to see it in action first to see if the concerns were warranted so they didn't jump the gun

I don't know, a dev team and a handful of testers playing a couple hours a day aren't gonna find nearly the amount of problems/concerns that tens of thousands of people clocking in hundreds of thousands of hours in gameplay. Plus there's tournament stuff that would've, more than likely, been overlooked like double random stages and rematch from pause. A game that was pushed back a few months may have fixed some glaring issues but overlooked the smaller, but significant, changes to characters. I'm simply saying that the game we have now would not be anywhere near the same game we would've gotten if it was released months later.

A couple hours a day?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Well there are in house full time just like everywhere then 2-4 week outside testers like KI did and others

Hours are same regardless I think
Alright, lets put it at a collective thousands of hours for inside/outside testing for a few dozen testers (again, for all I know) on a game that isn't ready for consumers balance wise against the "finished" product being played constantly by tens of thousands of people. The simplest way I can put my point is I think a lot comes to light, balance wise, when the general public has the product and provides feedback. I dunno WHAT Injustice played like before it reached our hands but since then the general public has shown that X character could use buffs/nerfs or Y mechanic needs some work.

A game is never finished. It's just as polished as much as possible and playable with it's core intention. Devs know what's wrong and problems that are going to arise most of the time when game's hit retail because they continue working even after ship on issues they know.
