Well, it has been a long time coming.
Ever since Ruthless Mayhem was resurrected from a near-death state on May 2013, we've done much in the way of rebuilding. We have been blessed with incredibly talented players and contributors driven by a passion for fighting games, and are well on our way to establishing official tournament support for the warriors. The new RM is alive and ready to roll.
For us to continue climbing the mountain trail, our countenance must be roughened by battle. To that end, we seek challenges from other teams, whether they reflect our ideals or oppose them. Without opposition, there is no evolution.
And now, starting tomorrow evening at around 7:00 P.M. Eastern Time, RM will face NetherRealm Fighters via the network on the Playstation 3! The game of choice is Injustice: Gods Among Us. Two prosperous groups who think very like-minded in the ways of teamwork will now set aside all restraint and unleash Hell upon their opponents!
Those who come from the days of Mortal Kombat 9 ought to remember the potential wielded by Ruthless Mayhem, and thus I assure you all...expect nothing less from my men as we march forth to face NRF!
The battlefield does not reward fear. What it does reward is action...conviction...the drive to excel. The drive to win.
Should both sides be willing to give their consent, the battles will be broadcast to everyone via my personal Twitch channel @ www.twitch.tv/gamerblake90. I'll look into a back-up stream just in case it fails. Perhaps Catnip_Her0 would be willing to volunteer if need be...I will await his response.
Now, here are the terms of the war as agreed upon by Ghostface777o0o and myself. I made a couple additions that I'm sure he will agree with, but if there are any objections, I will address them with courtesy.
1) It will be a team battle of ten-versus-ten. Back-ups will be brought forth in the event that some of the chosen ten fail to show. No more and no less then ten players on each side will be allowed to participate.
2) Every match will be done in single-elimination format. You must win five matches before your opponent does. Should you lose, you're out, done, kaput. However, you are welcome to stay around to support your team, but you may not challenge any players who are still participating in the war until it ends, unless they too have been eliminated.
3) For the first fight of every set, you must play on the level displayed at the character select screen. From that point on, the loser will be allowed to change their character and/or the stage while the winner is character-locked until he loses a match.
4) Should we encounter any disconnection issues among the players (which are to be expected when you play online), they will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
5) There will be no bans in effect for any character or level. Anything goes!
That should be all of them. If I forget anything, tell me. I want to keep everything reasonable.
To the ones who will be participating...use this night to practice hardcore. Because tomorrow, you will be in for the fight of your lives!
