Nothing stops GBS not even the icey cold and snow as 10 brave warriors showed up to play despite the arctic conditions. While the bracket may have been small the competition was fierce, providing plenty of salt to sprinkle on the sidewalk of GGA. It ultimately came down to a repeat of last week's grand finals, with two of Batman's greatest foes appropriately squaring off in stately Wayne Manor. Max's Bane and my Catwoman had a hard fought, tears fueled reset into a second series with Max taking the win, earning his 5th GBS championship and winning back to back GBS right after I had won #17 and #18 back to back. Who can stop these two, with their venom enhanced muscles and irresistible feminine wiles?
After missing last week's GBS and Frosty Faustings due to family obligations(his real family not the mafia) the slippery Slips returned with a strong 3rd place showing, narrowly losing to Catwoman in winners and losers finals and winning a close set against housemate Jeremiah.
Saucy Jack said goodbye to Green Arrow at Frosty Faustings but did not return to Doomsday for GBS. He instead has decided to quit being a character loyalist and embrace his inner Mokuken and play a team of characters much like PPJ. To start this experiment off he used Wonder Woman against Max and Harley Quinn against PPJ's Joker in the most canon match of the night.
The biggest hype of the night belonged to the Pantychrist, who was seemingly locked in eternal battle with Cyborg tonight. First Saucy Jack started off with Cyborg and then in losers HAN used the robotic combatant against the lingerie messiah. Both sets came down to the wire and Pantychrist proved he could indeed mess with the best...almost.
Thanks as usual to all those who support GGA by watching the stream live or the archives later. Big props to the die hards who drove in the crappy weather to play and shout outs to the regulars who stayed home but hung out in the stream chat. This was week 7 of season 2. That means we are now exactly halfway in.
