Picture worth 1000 words

I did this speedTest in a taco mac last night when talking w AK L0rdoftheFLY to compare and was stunned at the download and upload off of Verizon 4g on my iPhone 5s.

This was not wifi, look at top of screen "LTE"

So next time you see an AT&T commercial or get a call from their sales service and they claim to have the fastest 4g please call them and email this pic. I know I will because AT&T is possibly the worst company out of all of them

End game.

In the same spot sprint gets 4 down 6 up I believe

This is usually a consistent difference but sprint is pretty awesome due to unlimited data and 6 up is great

I just tested from Jersey/NYC area and got 40 down and 8 up. Not shabby at all.. But good gracious LTE must be burning it up in ATL

I was floored when I saw this

I usually get 40 down 12 up but I looked it up and verizon is upgrading 4g towers in areas right now gradually

It's probably because the internet at my work is shit, but I'm on 4G. I'll try again when I get home.

Competition is pretty much always good. As a verizon customer I appreciate how strong their network is. But I don't really think the price points for their plans are remotely near what their operating costs are. The scary part is if they were to obtain a monopoly in the industry it would get substantially worse. Their speeds are great except for the fact that by using them you are killing your limited data usage and likely to come close to capping it in which case you will get price gouged for going over.

TLDR; Verizon service is bitter sweet and I hope their competition stays in business and gets better.

When I priced out AT&T it was more, for less performance

I want Verizon infrastructure with Sprint plans/prices. I asked Santa but he totally dicked me over this year in and not in a sexy way.

EDIT: Also I should add, Sprint's 4G LTE is nice if you're in their service area. It's still scattered and spotty even in large cities.

Here in Cleveland, 12dn/4up is the best I can muster... :(

I'm probably not bouncing off the best towers, though, since my service is based out of a different area.
