I think they are a good idea. I like watching the clash like on the stream. I just don't like playing with it. I always pick the wrong amount of meter. I have never initiated a clash online. I just suck at meter management. Wish you could clash in round 1 though.

i still think regular breakers would have been better honestly, and the ability to be able to use them more than once in a match....defnitely better the clash.

The only way to initiate a clash is to do the button inputs when your opponent is landing a 2+ great hit combo on you. Even if its just then doing 22 and nothing else, when you get hit my that second hit that's when you can start a clash.

I hope that helps and makes sense and is accurate.

In the tutorial Superman is set up to do a 3-hit chain on you. Try to clash on/after the 2nd or 3rd hit and it will not work if all you do is forward + mb. You have to repeatedly jam MB for it to *maybe* come out.

No one else is noticing this?

If the opponent has little to health, I will purposely drop my 1 hit combo launcher to prevent them from breaking.

haha ya I do the same. I will drop stuff to prevent the clash and try to armor f3 sometimes if they drop next to me.

If the clash was free like a breaker, the game would've looked stupid as hell. It's not, so let's forget about that.
As of now, I think it will be one of the most hype moments and complex mechanics in the game. What makes it better is it's only once, and only second round. This will be THE mind fuck mechanic. I have to say though, it looks stupid when you gain life from a full-power head to head strike.

In a game where your health doesn't regenerate between rounds, I can see how a system where you basically convert meter into life makes sense.

I do not, however, like the animations and all. In fact, I hate the animations. It's basically guaranteed to happen twice every game, as both players will likely use their Clash. Unlike MK where the combo breakers were fast paced and awesome (right down to the ping! sound), the clashes here completely break the pacing of the game and slow the second half of the match to a crawl.

I like the clash system. It obviously adds a dramatic effect to matches but also adds a chess match like feel to close out the match. It can surely change the tide of a match in certain scenarios.

They're okay... but once you have a UNIQUE one, like let's say Grundy Vs. Green Arrow ( Grundy- "ARROW MAN NO HURT GRUNDY" Green Arrow - "Arrow man yes hurt Grundy") It's pretty awesome.

The Clash is the best deterrent for some types of round 2 Super combos. Folks like GA and Harley have good combos off of their super since it leaves them in a juggle state, but if you go for it they clash after the super and they regain health since with no bars left after the super you lose. Changes that round 2 meter game a lot for me as a GA player. Expect me to blow my Super in Round 1 in my combos and zone a bit in round 2 till I recover the bars.

Clash is really cool. It makes it harder to be in your face on last round with that breaker on deck and it makes you gunshy with supers unless it'll kill. This means we will see some big finales as folks will save that super for the end instead of to shave em down since meter is needed. Sooooo much meter game involved in a breaker you can lose without bars.

I think it's a far better mechanic than the breaker mechanic. Yes it has it's flaws and it's too lengthy, but there is a far deeper degree of strategy with the clash system that you don't get with breakers. The fact that you only get 1 is the best thing about it imo as well as the winner scoring a knockdown, which can be absolutely essential in a lot of MU's.
