Life's a bitch...now so am I!
You did not click on last week's thread. For the first time since Slips won the first two GBS back to back we have a repeat champion. This was a longer path to victory for my Selina however. Whereas last week I stayed in winners the entire tournament this week I was sent to losers by Max's Bane in the winners semis, setting up a a rematch of last week's close set between Max and Slips in the winners finals. The hell spawn spector went on to win again while Catwoman clawed and scratched her way through the losers bracket back to the grand finals for a KTP showdown. In the end the feline fatale managed to reset the bracket 3-2 and then won the second set to win the tournament.
With PPJ still riding high from his NEC win he again decided to keep Hawkgirl grounded and debuted a new alt, the clown prince of crime. Taking a page from Pantychrist he was eliminated early. It wasn't all bad news for Joker though. His partner in crime Harley Quinn had her best GBS outing yet with McCutty Mayhem placing 4th and double eliminating Jeremiah while giving me and Slips a run for our money. Something fishy was going on early in the tournament with both Soonk and Dizzy tying for 7th place with their Aquamen. After a close loss against Slips the ever angry Soonk went on to lose to his arch nemesis and top 4 Noob Saibot "Hollywood" Fill Pops, who couldn't help but pop off after showing Soonk who's the Main Man.
We are now one week away from Frosty Faustings and many questions are raised. Can I make history by winning 3 straight GBS or will Selina's 9 lives finally run out? Will an outsider in town for Frosty show up and challenge the windy city at our own local? Can PPJ and Pantychrist share strats and put Joker on the map? Does Soonk have any options? Who will head into Frosty cocky and who heads into it emo? And perhaps most importantly, who will receive the best Christmas gift in the GGA secret Santa? Stay tuned next week.
