Heroes World (Markham/York Region) - Saturday July 30th 2pm to 5pm Casual Session

Hey guys! Jon from Heroes World here! We've been getting a small MK9 following at the shop. Our casuals on wednesdays are packed with SF and MVC players so i thought we'd start adding some random MK9 sessions to the mix so we can have a little more room. So this coming Saturday (July 30th) we're holding a gaming session from 2pm to 5pm. It's only $5 to play!

We'll have one xbox 360 set up and hopefully one ps3 set up. We have the xbox 360 dlc but don't yet have the ps3 content...so if somebody want's to bring a ps3 with all the dlc that'd be awesome (we'd also need a copy of the game as well).

Post up if your coming so we can get an idea of head count. If we only get a hand full of ppl we can still jam some 4 player madness which is pretty fun if you haven't tried it yet.

We also have for sale ps2 controller to xbox 360 adapters on sale too for $22.99 if you need to use a ps3 style controller on the xbox. you will need a ps2 controller and a wired xbox 360 controller to get them to work.

sweet! all you need to bring is the console as i have all the appropriate cords...unless you have the newer PS3, i don't have a power cord for that model yet

if not we'll just run two xboxes...if steve can bring his HD then we'll have both with full DLC

you can bring yours just incase as well, then i can actually run 1 xbox and 2 ps3s, only need the system as i have cords (unless you have the newer system like mentioned above)

I think everyone will be playing on the PS 3, I can confirm bring it. Got DLC too and Mk 2, which was the best MK for a while. I'll bring 2 ps 3 controllers, plus MK arcade stick. You got practice arcade stick for emergency situations bud. I'm going to try learn sub-zero, thus I'll have a scary shang tsung.

hey all! good showing today guys! only about 6 ppls but it's s start.

I wanna thank everybody for bringing whatever equipment they could, and also for helping pack up (AND not leaving a mess!). Also the fact that i didn't have to kick people off the system was awesome, i told ya'll we'd play till 5:30 and everybody stopped right on time Lastly everybody paid right away...all these factors makes if much easier for me to justify running these sessions. I'll look into the schedule and see if i have any other openings on other days...the three monitors you saw set up are probably going to be part of the regular set up at the store so as long as it's not too crazy i can probably fit in sessions whenever.

At the moment we're looking pretty good for the same thing next saturday if you guys are up for it. post up if interested and i'll confirm early next week.

yeah, the pdp stick get's alot of hate. I actually play with it quite often and don't mind it...i've modified the joystick (the yellow one you saw today) and plan on changing the buttons to competition buttons (convex instead of concave). with that said the pdp still wouldn't be my first choice if i was to play in a tournament or super serious game though.

Also, seeing as the majority of us are ps III users, i think someone should get a ps converter haha. Just saying...

we have the converters instock...but they require a PS2 or PS1 pad...and a wired Microsoft xbox controller. I've tried it with multiple wired xbox controllers and so far it only works with the official xbox controller. I've tried Onza Razor, MK PDP stick, Hori EX pad and none of them work...i'm going to pick up a super cheap wired noname xbox controller from EB games and test if that works cause they are only $4.99.

the adapter is $22.99 alone so trying to find out the cheapest way to get it running, i'll keep ya'll posted

I sprained my wrist, from b-ball or mortal kombat, hopefully from b-ball. So this wednesday is a no go, but next wednesday, I should be able to return.

Btw, does anyone know if Fan Expo would have an mk tournament setup?

I missed the Smash Bros one last year, don't want to miss out, but only want to go for one day.
