As you all know i'm a pretty huge DragonBall Z fan, and I have a number of beefs revolving battle of the Gods. (Spoilers involved)
This may be a long one... Now I loved this movie and it is by far my favourite after watching all of them, The reactions to it bug me at first people wanted SSJ God to look better, I can't disagree where as I like the colour scheme for Goku the actual transformation was too simple, SSJ3 was a grand change in appearence where as SSJG is not.
(What people Expected)
People also wanted SSJG to shit all over Bills which is just not right, here's my opinions why Goku's ass still got whooped #1 Goku was fresh to the SSJG form, he is not using it to it's full power, It's the same as his SSJ3 form I don't think by this point in the story he still has 100% control over it where as Vegeta has pushed SSJ2 to it's full limits therefore I think Vegetas powers could equal that of Goku's in SSJ3.
This also leaves room for sequels especially when we discover Whis is infact WAY more powerful than Bills lord of destruction, Next to this Bills is one of if I remember correctly 7 other Gods, of which he is one of the weakest.
I would love to see Goku Ascend to god form again and have a better understanding of it in future movies but having to ascend to this form leaves other characters in a position where they are all to weak to compete with the villains that it becomes impossible to give them a true spot light, however they did an amazing job of giving vegeta his spot light in BOG where Vegeta BEATS THE SHIT out of Bills but of course at the end of it all it was nothing compared to Bills power, I would rather see a movie where Vegeta becomes the hero however, most fans have come to like Vegeta more than anyone else and i believe after Goku & Gohan had their victories over villains vegeta deserved his on Buu but was denied it.
of course I disagree that Vegeta should be aloud to ascend to SSJG as the host must be pure of heart of which Vegeta is not.
The Movie overall was amazing and I would love a new series/Set of Movies more than anything, Vegeta deserves his spotlight, also Vegeta needs to truely be on Goku's level, I know I said he was before but he needs to be on SSJ3 just like Goku and they need a real Fight I was very dissapointed with the Buu Saga fight I believe the fight in the Saiyan Saga was much better at that point Vegeta and Goku were equal, the only thing setting them apart was Vegeta's ability to turn into the great Ape.
To add to all this Goku during the fight loses his SSJG appearence but retains all the powers and even manages to fully ascend to a SSJG once again *Appearance and powers alike* on his own which raises the question once ascended to a SSJ God will Goku always be able to tap into the power on his own?
