Capcom is delisting Marvel digitally...could NRS have the Marvel license?

Capcom is delisting Marvel stuff. Do you think this means Marvel may be going to NRS?

That is an absurd line of logic. Nobody is going to tank a multimillion dollar video game deal because some writer gets butthurt about captain america jobbing to the question. At the very least, they will force the writers to craft some absurd stalemate or team up plot similar to MKvDC, or they'll write something up like MvC3 that literally has no fucking story. Either way, the needs of the writers are damned near the bottom of the reasons why this wouldn't work / happen.
Or the two universes collide and are forced to work together against a greater evil/threat like in MvC storyline. If NRS did get to take a shot at it, the story is the last thing I'd worry about.

TBH I don't think it could happen, not because the two couldn't agree on story or who beats who (they've done it in comics so it isn't an issue)

They wouldn't be able to agree on a developer/art-direction. Also I don't think NRS would get it because they are like a DC/WB developer, I think if it was ever to exist they would find a neutral 3rd party developer.

Imperfects is a miserable excuse for a game that can be enjoyed on no level for longer than about 20 minutes. It is NOTHING like Injustice.
Super hero fighter with a dark atmosphere and in stage interactables, close enough. It was a fun game.

If this were to be true, I hope NeatherRealm and Warner Brothers doesn't make an UMvC4. Just stick to 2D fighters :) Probably not going to happen though.

I think that you're forgetting the "C" in UMvC stands for Capcom. All that's on the table is the potential right to Marvel digital characters.

Haha whoops. Glad you caught that. I just couldn't see the MKC playing a game like Marvel. We all love MK and Injustice and I think the majority of the MKC and TYM likes 2D fighters. But who knows.

I wonder what sort of MK inspirations NRS would use for various Marvel characters if they actually did have the Marvel license at some point now that its out of Capcom's hands?

I could easily see Cap's Shield Throwing being akin to Kung Lao hat throws but with boomerang tricks.
Spiderman would be cool to imagine in the NRS style. I imagine he might zipline off the stage and back on with pseudo teleports and perform akin to Mileena's port pressure that way.
Thor would be a damned sandbox for Boon's people given all his themes.

Its fun to imagine how Marvel might actually turn out in the hands of someone other than Capcom. It'd be different than what we've seen but thats not inheritly a bad thing at all. Its actually pretty exciting.

This is why I would not be stoked about NRS developing the game. When you look at Injustice you see many character using recycled moves and styles from characters from mk9. It s like a mix and match pallet swap.

Once a Lantern always a Lantern.
It is always a possiblity, Stan lee has been very surpportive of injustice, and if not marvel vs dc then maybe another new super hero fighting game which i am for one would be down for.

Really you find the need to complain about the move list, even though you can find the base for the moves they are still unique to these characters. stop the complaining. please.

Yeah I am saying I don't like NRS approach to character move sets and design. NRS/Midway gave all its characters the same set of normals for the first 4 MK games. I don't seem them making big leaps when it comes to move sets and designs. With all that said that is just my opinion and I am not complaining.

shaowebb NRS designing Nightcrawler or Gambit = shenanigans everywhere.
Oh lord how I've wanted Nightcrawler in a fighting game. They teased us with Trish's ending in MVC3 but he never made it in. NRS who are teleport extremists would have a field day with him.

umvc3 for $5...solddd
You had better grab jill and shuma then. They are $1.24 each and if you DONT get them they are gone forever once they delist. May as well get all the alt outfits too. Having Scarlet Spider and Iron Patriot is pretty swag. Make certain to play it at least once to get all the updates too or you will be playing some glitchy shit.

MVC2 is $3.74 BTW and MUCH harder to get if you dont get it during this. If you buy it make sure to play it once too because it also had updates.

yeah figured i'd get the characters but not the costumes since i wanna spread the cash to the other xbl "countdown to 2014" daily deals coming up.

and i have mcv2 on dreamcast  costed a pretty penny and took a while to procure but at least i have a physical copy of the game, albeit a version for what is now primarily a collector's piece console haha.
