I was looking forward to this all week. What a fucking disappointment.
All week? I've been looking forward to this for months. I have a bunch of friends here who've been huddled around the computer for over 3 hours now waiting to see some hype Injustice. There's no stream, no updates, nothing. This is abysmal.

Let me more clear, I've been looking forward to it for a while, but my excitement increased this week as we got closer.

Nobody is to blame, but we should see more.

Injustice has the third most participants after Street Fighter and Marvel. The game and the player deserve exposure.
I think there is valid blame in DC/WB/NRS not understanding the marketing benefits of supporting their grass roots community. Having worked in advertising I know there are a ton of brands that would be frothing at the mouth(and pocketbooks) to get a few thousand people to watch their content for hours. If they are interested in doing a sequel/more ports, etc it is well worth a few thousand dollars to make sure a stream goes well.

If they don't want to provide support it is pretty much up to us to figure out a system of support/fix for this.

The thing is, it doesn't take a few grand -- and it shouldn't really be up to NRS to do it either. ARC isn't paying thousands for BlazBlue to be up, etc.

A few grand is what I would estimate on the high end to "do it right". Flying someone to Philly (a day ahead to check the venue) , hotel and paying them to admin the stream with reliable equipment.

I am not sure what ARC is I think it is a smart investment that isn't a whole lot out of their marketing budgets.

Yep this is a blow up. People spent months hyping this tournament up and nobody can even watch it. Its not that hard to get a stream going. TY 16 bit for posting updates.

When's GGA!?
There is no momentum for Injustice top 8 tomorrow, at least to me. We did get to witness the story of how each player struggled/dominated through pools. Hell, i would be surprise if Injustice gets the royal screw job and get top 8 off streamed

WB/DC/NRS have nothing to do with the success of the stream, don't put the blame on them.

NEC is a grassroots event, KombatNetwork is a community based stream that are local to the area.

KN also does not make money from doing this. If anything they lose money based on time spent/travel expenses/stream equipment expenses/bandwidth (since NEC is not supplying them with bandwidth however multiple other streams are running fine).

It has been mentioned a few times here and in stream that they are looking for a 4g card that someone in the community will likely have to fund from their own pocket.

Is Tom Brady out of KI or just in Losers Bracket?

How are CD Jr. and Maxter doing?
