CD really seems to love neutral jumping haha.

Nice to see someone playing Orchid. If I was going to get a XBO, that'd definitely be my character. You don't seem to see many.

I am so glad I'm not the only one that was thinking that...

That being said: great stuff, you guys.
This game is a fast paced.
Sadira has double jumps so she would DEFINITELY take advantage of this. Just like a lot of characters in smash.

Injustice does not really have a traditional neutral game. Which is fine, I'm not bashing it.
It is a lot more slow paced. So to cover ground and start an offense since it would be dumb to dash into people's faces 24/7
you kinda need to jump. Inj movement is kinda stale compared to this game.
Inj kinda forces you to jump, where KI gives it to you as an option and doesn't force you to do it.

I understand/agree. I've thought the same when it comes to SF/Marvel, it seems like of all the games where jumping really comes into play, IGAU is the only one where it really seems like there's no alternative than to take your chances taking to the air, whereas in any other game it's just one of the multitudes of options, and from what I've seen of KI so far, there are enough ways to diversify and capitalize whether you're in the air or on the ground...especially when it comes to Sadira. She's a real wild card mobility/options wise.

Yes. In smash you can play a ground game with dash dashing ( dashing back and forth with right timing that creates good mobility and movement for some characters, such as marth). Or in smash you can wavedash around and use that on the ground, or you can play air footsies with good ranged or multi hitting normals and your double jumps. Sf has a good ground game, and the jumping is usually when you are safe to do it, or you have conditioned someone to respect that jump ( which can still be DP'D). Marvel is more like smash where you can play air footsies. Characaters like zero and spencer are a lot better airborne. MK even has a good ground game with most game play happening on the ground. Sure a lot of people jump in that game but that is because they do not know what to actually be doing. Or maybe against kenshi, since he forces you to play a retarded game..

But when it comes to KI and characters like sadira, you will be airborne a lot. Her projectile is air only. She also has a grappling hook tool similar to spencer which allows for even more mobility. On top of that she has a double jump. When she has insticnt she can do whatever the fuck she wants.

But then in injustice, you pretty much are forced to jump a lot of the time. Dashes being punishable the way they are does not allow you to mount an offense really. The walk speeds do not allow for a traditional neutral game. You can't play a footsies game with the walk speed. Which allows more jumping.

It is what it is.

Exactly. I still <3 it strictly because I've grown to love smashing people to pieces with Doomsday and Grundy/pretending to be Ermac when it comes to Yellow Lantern, but I definitely understand why it's turned so many people off, especially MK players who spent so much time developing their ground game and learning to fight a fight that didn't revolve around such tactics only to end up on a battlefield like IGAU's where so much of the neutral game/what decides momentum in the fight revolves around what eventually comes down to luck.
