It is simply something that is familiar to me, I understand it and it understands me. The games I'm expecting to come to the Xbox are what I want and that's enough for me. While we may have different opinions on certain aspects of the Xbox I respect your opinion / choice to get whatever you enjoy. I think the message that should be understood is to just enjoy what you want

lol that isnt even remotely close to how you decide what system you want. Its as if you didn't read the op at all.

playstation has always had a much wider variety of games, with way better exclusives. Both launch lineups were garbage, KI is cool but not that fantastic of a game in general, its only appealing really to the fgc which is a pretty small demographic.

if you want to truly judge the console by the games it has, wait at least a year or two before you say dumb shit like that please.

I do not own either console, but I will go ahead and state, as soon as I can find a Xbone in store I will buy it. It doesn't come down to graphical comparison, pixels, ads, power bricks, and such for me. What it comes down to is my preference for fighting games. I prefer KI over GG and BB. EVO is making the switch to Xbox as well. I highly doubt the next Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat will be exclusive to either system, so I can't go wrong. KI gives the Xbone a slight edge for me is all. As far as other game genres, I simply do not care. Every other game I play on PC, if I even play another game.

You made some good points for people who aren't strictly basing their decision on KI though. I suggest they take in your advice.

Probably not. A lot of tournament players play on stick anyway, so the console is irrelevant.

*I know not all of them do, so please anyone who reads this don't respond with some one-off example of how Pig of the Hut uses pad. I get it.

I bought a ps4. I have intentions of buying and xbone, but they are kind of dwindling away. I really want to play KI, but it seems like there isn't that many people playing it. I suppose I should just hang in there until guilty gear and whatever the ps4 exclusive street fighter is.

Il be pissed if guilty gear is ps4 exclusive though (./possible considering blazblue exclusivity)

Nah, I bought PS4 because Sony has proven to me that it puts out better games. KI is a good launch title...but fortunately there are more games that come out during a system's life than what comes out during launch

Xbox has nothing that interests me aside from 1 title. I will hope for an eventual PC release or just play the game casually at friends' houses.

lol KI is literally the only reason to buy XBone over PS4, Sony just has the better console but if you are a huge KI fan or want to play it competitively or want other XB exclusives of course its going to pander to you more.
i say this as someone who bought an xbox over ps2 and 360 over ps3

I'm just waiting to see what other games come out for both consoles :) I'm not buying xb1 just for KI lol :p i son't really like other xb exclusive while i love every ps exclusive

M$ has KI. M$ wants KI exposed. M$ is taking a risk and hopes they can enter the FGC and possibly push esports. I don't see any other reason why M$ would fork out that kind of cash.

You contradicted yourself with your moronic post, you said pick a platform because of the games you intend to play on it, then you mention one exclusive from each console which just so happens to be a terrible ps4 exclusive and one of the only good exclusives xbox currently has. When I buy a system, I try to think about which will be better in the long run and which system has better exclusives/a better library in general, not one single game I'm going to purchase a console over.

I wish when people make these threads they look at it from a Game Developer point of view. It's easy to sit there and whine, MS' intention as a whole was to move the market forward in the long run.

But then again people asked for Paulo to lose his job so I'm not that impressed on how far people research into this debate.

Sorry man i went from returning my ps4 to getting an xbox uno(coming from an ex loyal sony fanboy).I cant go in this lifetime NOT playing KI i just caaaan't lol.
