Agreed, it should be something more like...."We're here for our land." ......jkThis thread title is racist.. But we will overlook that and discuss the matchups, rofl
The problem with samamish and the stomp is that when it does "miss" recovery frames allow for full punish. I've attempted to dash past the unblockables and it seems their hitbox works like quick sand. His dash just isn't strong enough to fully escape.Personally I've been working on incorporating the bison stomp against Glacius. Its been decently effective so far but its really hit-and-miss.
Instinct is amazing but I prefer to save it for when I'm in his face because if you manage to knock him down, you can dash through pretty much everything he has and punish for free just about.
Or maybe I was too slow in the dash. More experimentation. I'll have plenty with my main sparring partner being glacius. I don't think most glaciuses (glaciai?) zone like he does though. The bison stomp is only like... 50/50 as I said. As far as the unblockables, it might've been just a bit of lag but I coulda sworn I dashed through without any problem. Like everything from puddle to shoulder.
End the combo but don't finish the combo? I are confused.Something you should try that I've had some mixed results with, end a combo with enhanced tomahawk slam, and instead of finishing out the combo do a dash and then a bison stomp.
Ok, interesting. Also, for the record, I would almost always finish with the ankle slicer instead of call of the earth AS LONG AS meter is not full. Rather basic, but many people have overlooked the fact that the ankle slicer is a battery ender, and refills our shadow meter.Pardon my tripping of words. I usually end my combos with the tomahawk slam.
Rather, use the enhanced slam and instead of using the usual enders (big boot, etc) instead try doing a dash and then bison stomp. If done right, what I've found is it'll actually cause a sort of odd input change from the opponents side.
That or my opponent just had a hard time reacting and did the wrong inputs expecting something else.
I'd like to dedicate this award to all my fans. Lord knows I don't deserve it… But ancestors give me strength, thunder will reign supreme! And the award for best thread title 2013 goes to...
From someone who respects the hell out of your play, hank you for picking up thunder.I like thunder in this game. ive been playing him.
thunder's fierce punch can trade with jago's projectile sometimes if he is in range.
his range on his grab is nasty too.
yes I'm going to add that to my game for frame traps niceI've been using his shadow df punch with armor to counter small farm traps...this has always been my style with scarlet, Grundy...etc.
It's also +2 on block so applying pressure after is easy
Watch out for those shadow cancels though.yes I'm going to add that to my game for frame traps nice
Solabieze? Not sure of move names yet. Inputs?Triplax and then Solabieze!!!
Lol naw its just the sound he makes in the SNES version of KI, you know the special move where he does like a head butt in the air.Solabieze? Not sure of move names yet. Inputs?
You mean Samamish, his dp.Lol naw its just the sound he makes in the SNES version of KI, you know the special move where he does like a head butt in the air.
That's the sound effect? Lol. Ok. I didn't catch thatLol naw its just the sound he makes in the SNES version of KI, you know the special move where he does like a head butt in the air.
Lol yeah that what I meant, I didnt now how it was spelled just sounded. You mean Samamish, his dp.
Also, using it as a follow up to blocked t.axe is not recommended, if it gets blocked then your open for full punish.
Watch if they're blocking the t.axe high or low then adjust your follow ups between lp>h.CotE (command throw) if blocking low or lp>m.ankle slicer (low axe) for combo if blocking high
Heheh yeah the battle cry or something. That's the sound effect? Lol. Ok. I didn't catch that
