So I wanted to go ahead and start this discussion going. I'm super syked to play this characters and I really hope that KI grows into a strong community. This game has depth to the level of Street Fighter but with the grit and grime us MK fans have grown to love.

While this will never replace MK...THIS IS OUR STREET FIGHTER.

Now back on topic...Please post all MU discussion here.

My first question:
I want to know how his Instinct mode effects MU against projectile characters like Jago, Glacius, sadira and Orchid.

Regarding yor question I'd say his Instinct shuts down Jago's fireball and Orchid's cat but I think Glacius with good spacing and timing wouldn't be as easy to run up on. I believe Spirit Dash has 16 frames of invul on startup but would think during recovery a decent Glacuis might be able to have obstacles in your way.

Glacius can still deal with instinct fairly easily if you're activating it from full screen and trying to use it to get in. I usually activate it after a hard knockdown for mix up, though I'm sure once people learn how to play Glacius, we're going to need it to get in. That j. mk is fucking ridiculous.

I agree. I already know pig and I are gonna play this MU a thousand times over. It will end up probably being in Glacious favor.

His range is pretty sick and is only beat out by glacius himself.

So...about the MU discussion. I think with Spirit Dash activated most people's reaction will be to alter whatever they were doing into get the hell away from me mode. Jumping away, being very defensive and hesitant with throwing much out. As long as Thunder isn't reckless Spirit Dash should get you in 8 out of 10 times.

I believe you can Sammamish Glacius' jump attacks (a la shoryuken Dhalsim's limbs).

A) I'd like to be tagged in all Thunder news if you would be so kind.
2) I'd like to discuss the Jago MU some. While I haven't delved into training much, (mostly because I'm trying to keep my focus on injustice until after NEC) I find it difficult to chase Jago down. The recovery time on his fireball is short enough to leave him able to punish a jump in with heavy kick. Our only shadow move with armor, Triplax, is still slow enough that they can either A) jump over or 2) land a second well timed hit to end the mode. Is anyone already aware of some, if there are any, of Thunder's projectile avoidable moves? Again, I'd normally just put in the work rather than ask this question, but it's something I wanted to know NOW and just don't have the time for.

His shoryuken has projectile invulnerable frames and has a fairly large horizontal hitbox to boot. I was using that against Sadira and would assume it also works on jago.

Have to test it though but in the long run I think he plays the patient game the way E honda does in ssf4.

Oh oh oh...just realized, a neutral jump can bait a heavy kick and a j fierce will probably stuff it. I would neutral jump all day and wait for your opening

I agree with the patience game, and needing to neutral jump. Jumping fierce does however get stuffed all day by Jago's standing fierce kick.

Need some serious help on the Thunder vs Glacius MU. Looking pretty damn hard right now, and I'm sure there is just something I'm missing, but I can't figure out what. My main sparring partner is a Glacius, and he's got the keep away game down. Went 44-11 yesterday, which is pretty balls, considering my ranked level (and what little time we've put in on account of competing in Injustice). Long limbs in the air keep me from jumping, projectiles help the unblockable setups, stored orbs hit sammamish on the way down or trade upon contact. Anyone got any thoughts? AK L0rdoftheFLY

It looks like Thunder gets bodied by Glacius and Jago the most...I cant figure those out

I agree. And again, I'll do a lot more exploring after NEC for myself. But I've just been getting aggravated with Glacius specifically, though it seems Jago can keep thunder out with projectiles and well timed standing heavys all day. Need more lab time is all. They can't make a six character game with such unfavorable MU's. Something we're overlooking I'm sure.
