So this guy in our group gets really salty when he loses and says he's a casual and plays for fun. Which is cool and all. Then he uses Power Herb-Xerneas /Mega Mewtwo X/ Zygarde / Lucario / Zaroark / Sylveon. I ran into this with a team I haven't used before, Hydreigon / Mega Kangaskhan / Miltank / (Shiny) Sylveon / (Shiny) Aegislash / Malamar.
He beat me with 31 HP to spare then proceeded to brag about his victory in the skype call for 15 minutes. But that's not what this post is about. This post is about OHMYGODXERNEASISTOOSTRONK. Power Herb: Its A single-use item to be held by a Pokémon. It allows the immediate use of a move that charges on the first turn. So what does THIS mean?
Xerneas uses Geomancy. Which is basically the equivalent to using Quiver Dance twice. Or using calm mind twice and dragon dance twice
EACH! But is "balanced" by the fact it takes 2 turns to use.
The user charges the move on the first turn. On the second turn, the user's
Special Attack,
Special Defense, and
Speed increase by
TWO stages. So with Power Herb it takes one turn. And with its Fairy typing a lot of the more offensive types are pretty useless. Most high physical moves don't shake a Fairy type with that kind of defense and the Geomancy stuffs special attackers. (Red Card) would've worked wonders unless that too passes stats to their switch. (Never used that item). However dealing with that and mega mewtwo x's base stat total of
780 I think I did pretty well.
And although I shouldn't be given that team. I'm still S_A_L_T_Y.
