That's the beauty of it, it's just an opinion and we are all free to accept it or not.

Yeah most scoring metrics are hugely flawed. Whether it be IGN (Notorious for sugar coating reviews for AAA devs so they continue to get early access) Metacritic, Amazon you name it. My general strategy when approaching new games is to try a demo (if available), watch a 1st impression video or lets play video and read comments that touch on the aspects of the game you care about. Actual scoring is a bunch of crap and is usually pretty meaningless.

Yeah, the roster probably isn't helping much. I'm still excited to play, I just hope it gets enough support from the community to live past its initial growing pains.

Reviews should be taken as follows:

5-10: good game
1-4: bad game

the specific number rarely matters

Imagine if The Last of Us shipped without story mode and the rifle weapon class.

KI launches with most of it's content incoming via DLC and it still scores above a 7.

That's how damn good KI is.

Nice to see such good scores for the game. 6 characters, barely any play modes and it's still pulling great review scores. If any of the other fighting games that came out in the past 3-4 years would have released with only 6 characters they would have been lucky to pull a 5/10. Kudos to DH for making a solid fighting game and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

the game is amazing, Training Mode and Dojo Mode are godlike! The only thing i don't like is the way they sell their game (you know, 20$, limited roster with lots of DLC).
and NRS plz play this game and see how DH develop a FG.

Agreed sfxt clearly deserves a 10/10 best ftg of this generation
