Best guitar solos?

He has, but he's ass though.

Uh, no he's not. People who say that are mainly either sick of him playing more or less the same style, or sick of the style because it's been copy. But he, as a guitarist, in his prime, is so far from being "ass" it's not even funny.

Best thing is, people give him credit for things such as being fast, playing clean (before he grew sloppy as off late), and being innovative, but ignore more difficult stuff, such as note selection, developing chord progressions and knowing what to play over which chord at just the right moment, understanding how to mix multiple scales/modes together, etc...

Yngwie's a legend.

"Ass" as in, he's an awful musician with a terrible guitar tone. He hurts my ears. He can be as technically skilled as he wants. Won't make him any more listenable.

I loved his guitar tone in his early studio recordings. These days, especially life, he uses way too much gain, and yeah it's annoying. Not sure about him being a terrible musician, I see his as exactly the opposite, especially with the early neoclassical stuff, and his vibrato is absolutely killer.

Anyway, he tends to divide opinion so I understand where you're coming from.

I was just posting more technical stuff but these are my favorites based off being awesome even if they're sort of more basic than others

2:40-3:40

1:50-2:18. It does get more technical though

3:12-end

2:18-end

Here is me attempting to play Flight of the bumble bee as John petrucci did on Once in a Livetime Album. It's just the first part and it's kind of poor compared to him lmao.

and here is what it's supposed to sound like haha Skip to 7:15

The last song I truly worked on was that Michael Romeo song I posted and could kill it lol

I still play
man thats really awesome! with those fast fingers am surprised u didnt main Kabal :REO

i envy u man i'd love to learn how to play. Piano and electric guitar are my favourite instruments i'd love to learn to play either of them, but these days its just not possible.. hopefully some time soon (assuming its still not too late to start learning)

Skip to 5:06 for the solo

This is one of my favorite solos tom the new DT album. Towards the end when it comes from the sweeps in the long note bends.. OMG boner so much.

Slips

Feared by dragons. Desired by virgins.
My favorite guitarist is probably Randy Rhoads. 2nd love was Dimebag. 3rd love was Alexi Laiho.

Dude, I really hope this isn't your normal guitar tone. The playing is super tight (really clean, good shit) but the tone made my ears bleed!
