WHEN IS THE NEXT MK2 TOURNEY?

the last tournament was a hit, so lets get some ideas on what people would like the next one to be.

how about Mileena is BANNED!!!!!!!!!

or, I really liked the "survivor series" where you would pick a low mid high and top and play until your team is eliminated.

I also like the wheel, we could think of some new spots on the wheel and do that again.

I think at one point we peaked over 60.. maybe 61-62 at most. We hovered around 54 most of the night though.

I'm working on something, but I won't say anything else about it until I'm sure it's better than the previous ideas. I'm looking in a different direction now. A hint is to your left.

All I can say now is that the Sirkle will be making another appearance in either UMK3 or MK9. I think MK9 is more feasible because signups would be astronomically higher.

The other thing is that this previous MK2 tournament was specifically designed to occur before the launch of the ps4/xb1 to ensure everyone still had their old consoles. Going forward, who knows what the future holds for the console version of the games? The future of classic MK is at this moment in limbo.

i suck at umk3 like i do mk2 but i'd still enter a tourney for it lol, prizes or not. even a sirkle style just for fun, b/c it was fun ^_^

I hope the sirkle is made even better next time. I noticed some problems with the system that'll correct themselves if more players enter an UMK3/MK9 tourney I'm sure. So that's good. With TYM's assistance of course, I would like to suggest another MK2 tournament that is even more brutal.....one that gives more power to the player, and, even the spectators. Most importantly, it must be more fun. You'll have to trust me. So far, I like what I'm imagining.

I also think my new idea can easily be adapted to UMK3/MK9. So there's that.

You can't ban Mileena without banning Jax and Liu too. Played at the highest level, they are nearly as broken as Mileena- especially Jax.

I would like to see a Bottom Tier tournament, or a Blackout tournament.
Blackout is Ththuvhul 's creation where you use each character until you've lost with everyone.
That would probably take too long but maybe it could be done over the course of a week.

Anyway, Bottom Tier Only... I know you like the sound of that, Icy Balls.

Yeah it sounds cool, I'll play any MK2 tournament. Would like to see a competitive MK2 tournament here soon though too.
Bottom Tier only is a good test of skill. But I won't argue about a free-select one either.

I always sign up for MK2. I'm not good at it, but it's definitely my favorite MK of all time.

IIRC, last year at NEC, DanCock bodied my Reptile something like 30-1 in casuals playing random select.

I know where you're coming from. I fuckin' love Mileena, and she's my strongest character.
But I've never seen a low tier only tourney, and I think that would be fun. Gives the guys who main Sub, Cage, and Reptile a chance to compete in FAIR match-ups instead of getting bludgeoned to death by top tier
Not to mention most everyone who is good at MK2 loves at least 1 of those bottom tiered fighters!

Since everyone loves prizes, I was going to run a tourney with 1st place getting a VHS copy of Rush Hour.
