Nope, its not Windows 8 bug.

You can max all settings, just leave the SHADOWS OFF and it works fine on all systems, no freezes.

Also you dont need to turn off shadows completely, just dont max it (one before works fine).

FYI - NRS didn't have anything to do with porting IGAU to PC or PS4.
High Voltage did that, just like they did MK9 before that.

It's not a freaking console, where in each one you have the same hardware. There is like billion possible PC configurations... Not so easy as you may think.

Firstly you dont need to turn off shadows, you just need to lower this settings by 1 (3/4 works fine).

I only can guess why maxed shadows freeze the game, you should really ask this people from High Voltage who ported IGAU to PC and PS4. But really thats not a big problem, lower shadows details by 1 and enjoy the game.

Patch probably gonna fix this, coz there is a way bigger problem atm called MP which simply doesn't work.

Shadow quality is the most needless process in video in my opinion, and yet it's crazy how much better the PC game runs when you TURN THEM DOWN/OFF!
