The books are half as much as the game at this point, and they just fucking collect dust 3 days after release.

Frankly, it's my own fault for continuing to buy them after the MK9 guide debacle. I couldn't BELIEVE the typos and misinformation in that. The TTT2 guide only continued that. The worst part is, they were so expensive, I can't bring myself to toss them out. They just sit on my game shelf....mocking me.

The Ultra Fan Book also comes with access to the Digital Living Guide that will be updated with DLC characters and the most up to date combos and strategies as the game evolves!

Sasarix, this is like PAGE 3 and you still haven't read everything, but you keep CORRECTING people to tell them that its NOT a guide --- except for the fact --- that THE GUIDE is DIGITAL and INCLUDED/BUNDLED with the ULTRA FAN BOOK.

I agree the Amazon page is confusing. The reason the guide is digital is SO THAT it will STILL be relevant POST release

Why didn't they get actual KI tournament players or something, unless RIP and Tom are like secretly top KI players that we don't know about, why not get CD Sr or something.

imo although tom is usually not as good a player as reo, chrisg, justin wong and such( he is a bit older and his reactions can't be topnotch forever), his ability to break down a new fighting game is at least just as good if not better than these players I mentioned. Next to that he is very good at writing guides for fighting games and an og fighting gameplayer in general. I am not too familiar with rip though. Anyway it is not always the best players that are good at writing a guide for a game.

I have personally worked with Bill TRASH OF TYM and can vouch for his ability. There is absolutely no one better who you can get to break down a new fighting game.

I like to buy Prima Guides for the artworks. They always have the best artworks. Also, call me old fashioned, but I like having a hard copy of basic kombos and such handy when I'm in the lab without having to switch my tv back and forth.
