The netcode is horrible on the ps3, it's unplayable. Ranked matches you up with South American people 90% of the time if you are in the USA, and in search player matches the ping bar doesn't even work. Before the patches there was a ping bar but it was bugged and wouldn't display a signal, after they patched up the game and couldn't fix it they wiped it completely. The Only way to see pings now is in a lobby, where 90% of them are dead all day except one room filled to the max. The ping bars display 4 bars, 1 bar being the worst and 4 being the best. Good luck finding a 4 bar connection and if you do, it will still be bad. People that claim it's smooth on the PSN are either NRS apologists, luckier than someone who wins the lotto, or don;t realize that visual lag and input delay are two seperate things. Visually, there isn't any lag but the input delay is awful.
If you're purchasing this for the online, you should pass.
