I have faith in Rip, but I have no faith in Prima after the truly AWFUL Injustice guide. I've never owned a guide for a fighting game that was so shoddy and half-assed, with so much information missing. I'm not really blaming the players who wrote it - it seems like Prima wanted to do it on the super cheap and made them cut half the information that should have been in there.

I mean I cannot overstate how atrocious the Injustice guide was. Basically gameplay mechanics unexplained, basic mechanic move inputs completely missing. Hell, you didn't even get a list of each characters normals!

Here's hoping the KI guide is much better

"good joker mixups" and venom being safe and unsafe in the sentence right after in injustice guide

im not paying 40 dollars, not even euros, for basic info that ill already know in week 1

as vulcan hades once said, these guides arent worth the paper theyre printed on and consider this customer feedback from MANY friends.

They don't have any control over what Prima does with the information provided. I remember when the TTT guide was written by top players and they all wrote 5-6 page guides on each character. That information was diluted into 1-2 pages and released.

Don't hate the authors people.

i feel like i was given the cliff notes of the cliff notes version there.

I bet there was probably 3=4 pages on the KBD alone.

I lost whatever faith I had in prima after the debacle which was the guide for Injustice. Lots of misinformation were in there and after a month there was no point looking into it other than the lols.

Prima now is 100x better than they used to be. At least they bring people in to write them who actually know what they are writing about in the genre.

I have old MK guides from them that talk about how a character is bad because if one of their special moves is blocked, they eat a big combo (Kabal MK3 lol)

EDIT: This is a great deal for this version of the guide. You get it now for $20 and if you wait until it hits stores, you pay $35-40. Shut up and go buy it ^_^

I was one of the ones that wasted money on the Injustice guide but they mention getting access to a living guide for the game so I might check it out. Glad Rip is involved but I could do without Brady being a part of it.

One thing, I think people haven't really paid enough attention to - the FANBOOK is physical - art / interviews / behind the scenes

The STRATEGY GUIDE is INCLUDED FREE with Fanbooks and is DIGITAL (updateable!) - and Prima is allowing us to update it POST launch (we kind of have to for additional characters anyway)

I really want to believe you on this but from my past experience I'm going to wait and see.

I just looked at the amazon post and from reading what Rip said your not buying a guide your buying a fan book thats an art book and behind the scenes book and your getting access to a living guide that is always being updated so the only physical merchandise you get is the fan book.

To add on to this, the fanbook does contain a physical mini guide for Jago though.
