Was it confirmed by NRS that DLC is, indeed, done? Sorry if I missed the announcement. If I remember, MK9 komplete edition marked the end of DLC/updates for the game.

To be fair, it was never confirmed. People took Boon saying "Dr. Fate didn't make it, as well as a lot of other characters" as "DLC is over" but that's far from decisive or even... relevant.

So it hasn't been said, but its been heavily implied this is the final patch. They may save the last 2 for PC or something along that line.

I don't think I can tolerate this game having two more teleport characters.

The balance is also pretty good right now, and DLC characters are generally made ridiculously strong to encourage sales- they'd screw up the balance.

Unless they have "surprise" characters or skins in the Ultimate edition that you can get as DLC too when it comes out it's over.

Character select scree would obviously look a lot cleaner, but yeah I think the way they treated the last patch plus Ultimate edition coming out pretty much all but confirms that the DLC is over. Probably for the best to have the game reach a steady-state now so we don't have to re-learn a bunch of stuff after balancing occurs.

I reckon character stuff is over. But someone once mentioned that the reason MK9 had exclusive skins on the Vita was because Sony had a deal that all games that are ported to Vita must have some exclusive content.

SO: If this is in fact a thing that Sony does, then you may see some new costumes on the Vita or PS4 versions of the game (maybe PS3 as well IDK). Other than that, I think it's probably done.

Sub-Zero and Red Hood are complete and finished, but will never be released due to the backlash over Scorpion being in the game. If they released just Red Hood, the character select screen would be imbalanced, hence...you'll never see any more DLC.

I'm just kidding, but I would honestly welcome those 2 as the final DLC just to have SOMETHING. And I'd definitely love Red Hood.

Final two SHOULD have been Swamp Thing and Dr Fate, though, in my opinion.

p.s. Good thing we got Zatanna! Man....those 3 people who wanted her must be loving it! Oh wait....they aren't playing her, either.
