I like this site and frequent it everyday but something has to be done about these character forums. Unreadable, useless information, combo threads with one button variations and unorganized. With one or two exceptions...

The injustice forums are 99% trash and are posts by scrubs arguing with people who know what they are talking about. You have to sift through 100000 posts in each forum to find something useful.

I wish there was a way to organize the information in a more comprehensive/rationale matter.

It would be my dream to have tournament proven player only threads. Everyone can view them but only approved players could post.

So what makes someone proven?

Placing top 8 in a recent tourney?
How recent is recent?
What about EVO?
What about Majors?
Do we only count towards the most recent patch?
Do we count for MK9 success?
Do we count locals?

So on so forth.

No smash back rooms please. It turns into purely politics and starts unnecessary ego wars.

There's nothing wrong with the system as is. The fact that you don't agree with everything posted is a feature, not a drawback, of open communication, and it leads to faster evolution of games.

The one thing about a public forum like this is that everybody is going to be posting stuff, and not everything is good.

When I see stuff I usually try and remain as open as possible to the idea, give it a try in training mode, and if it's potentially viable, try in on one of my training partners. A lot of the time the information/tech isn't great, but trying out other people's setups have helped me to find better/more reliable alternatives. It sucks that not everything you read through is great information, but that's just something you have to live with.

I agree with the combo threads. It makes it a pain in the ass to pick a character up when you try to look up his BnBs and all you see in combo threads are shit like J3 , D3.

HOLY SHIT MAN! THIS COMBO IS REVOLUTIONARY

If the combo threads worked like that, the KF forum would be left with day-0 combos (thread maintained by a mod) vs. up-to-date optimal bnbs with enders for all situations (thread made by a random). I'd hate to see how slow info gets out if only mods could maintain those informational threads. Uggh.

That was a very positive response. :')

Then scrubs would play tournaments, post threads about it and we would be back to the beginning again as people value their opinion over fact it seems.

This is the way to do it. There's no need to flip your lid every time you see something you don't agree with or don't think is useful. And like real life, we have to sift through a lot of the chaff to get to the wheat - but if we don't harvest at all, we never get wheat.

They can only get better, I agree, and I will put in some work at the Zod forum with the matchup thread and the combo thread.

What's the difference between someone making a kombo and posting it here for people to play with and someone posting a kombo on YouTube going .... YES I made it first and everyone starts copying it Online?

The point of this site is to encourage open discussion so that everyone can learn and level up, top player or not.

Even if new tech isn't viable or doesn't work fully it can inspire other new stuff that does work well.

If you want to be an elitist bitch then go get top players emails or phone numbers and make your own little club or something, but saying that people shouldn't be able to post unless they are somehow proven in your eyes is stupid as shit.

Seriously, have you ever posted on this site without sounding like an elitist asshole?

tournament proven players?
I would gladly give up my posting privileges, if that's what it takes to keep m2dave from posting l0l
I don't really come here to argue match ups with the pros. I use this site to improve my skills(new to FG's), am always asking for tips on what I need to be doing to take my game to the next level. you are somewhat right, things are out of control. here is my suggestion: Who ever creates the match up thread needs to quote people with relevant opinions in the main post/ like they do with combos, very few threads do this atm. scruby opinions can simply be ignored.
