Just as the Insomnia weekly tournaments over at Houston have kept their fighting game players busy, another corner of the Texas fighting game community is beginning to prosper through the opening of competitive fighting game tournaments at the Game Center located in Lubbock! If you reside in that city or in a neighboring location and you favor the thrill of competition, you'll want to head on up there and check out the action! Their supported games include both of our beloved NRS titles, Mortal Kombat 9 and Injustice: Gods Among Us!

All players, be it casuals or hardcore pros alike, are welcome to join in on the action! Entry fees range from free to $10. Prizes will vary.
Be mindful of one thing: you alone are responsible for having operating controllers and/or fight sticks on hand. You will not be provided with free controllers or sticks at their tournaments.
And also, fans of games ranging from the classic eras to the current generation may want to check out images of their merchandise as it comes in for the waves of nostalgia.
