so im guessing sign ups are already over that sucks i would have loved to joined.. are yall going to be doing this again?

Alright guys, we got in some great matches today. Zoidberg and I are hard at work getting the match footage to an acceptable level so we can get them posted in the Match Results Thread. As far as tomorrow goes, we still need to get in Niffleheim vs Napalm78 and Havik vs Gthunda86 for round 2. Other than that, here is tomorrow's round 3 schedule:

2:30pm: CASPER087 vs Fresh T
5:30pm Thetrillz vs Trickynick

Well damn, those are the only ones we can set in stone. The other matches will depend on the winners of the above-mentioned round 2 matches.

Also, depending on who's on at what time we might as well get in some round 4 and 5 matches and maybe even some losers bracket matches. If the necessary players are signed on there's no real reason not to. Please do me a huge favor: If you are signed into xbox live please make sure you are listed as such. This will help the rest of the tournament progress much more smoothly since I will be able to see who is on and schedule matches on the fly. I should be on most of the day tomorrow, so feel free to check in anytime to see if there is a match waiting for you. Thanks!

Eventually. This has been a lot more of an undertaking than I had planned for. I'm going to see it through but it might be a month or so before I start the next TYM Championship Games. The next one will also probably be single elimination.

Can't wait for everyone to see me and BookBurnings fight. I lost but I still think it was a great fight. Nice to see some high level Rain.

Way too many wins by no show. Seeing that really sucks for the people who wanted to play but didn't get in. Oh well, suggestion for the future: keep an alternate roster for people to fill in empty spots. There was enough interest where no match would have went unplayed. Of course not a problem if people just show up... but damn that's frustrating to see.

Yeah it is, but then I will be able to host the tournament about once a month. If I do double-elimination a single tournament is going to take 2 to 3 weeks to run, meaning I would probably only run it once every 2 or 3 months.

Ok, so we still need to get in the following matches tomorrow. Here is the planned schedule. If this won't work please let me know and we'll see what we can do:

(EASTERN TIME!)
5:30pm Nifleheim vs Napalm78
6:00pm Havik vs Gthunda86

Those are the last two round 2 matches for the winners bracket. Once we've got those in the rest of the winners bracket should be cake.

Well I will be able to fight the winner of Havik and Gthunda86's match. If Bookburning is on then he can fight the winner of Nifleheim and Napalm's match. At that point if you or Fresh T are on then you can fight the winners of those matches. Then we would only have the winners bracket championship left before moving onto the losers bracket.

Well, I got beat pretty bad. I've never played a Kano player. I played Kano once, and if was just upball spam.

Will you post those videos? Especially vs. Bookburning, was an awesome series and it pretty much taught me how to play against a good rain on the fly, I'd like to watch it a few times to try and learn some more. TYTY, GGs to the two I played today.

No, I haven't heard from him. I hate to do this but since that 1 match is holding up the tournament and you were on at the scheduled time I'm going to give you a pass Havik. Gthunda moves on to the losers bracket. That means you and I need to fight. I'm available most of the day, so let me know when you can get on and we can have our match. The winner of that can fight Fresh T.

I'm working on them. It's a very time consuming process. Since I only have access to windows movie maker and I'm recording from an iphone, I have to convert each video to wmp format and then edit the separate rounds together and then send those clips off to zoidberg for titles and such. I promise we're working on them and they should be up soon.
