Breaking Bad (SPOILERS!)

As a longtime fan of the books, I was incredibly impressed with season 1 of GoT. Sure, there was some nonsense here and there, but it was still great. But after that, I would rather the show had been cancelled after one season. Season 2 and 3 have been an absolute trainwreck as far as character development. Nearly every character has deviated so far from their original personality/motivations, that they're unrecognizable. Season 3 was alright compared to 2, but that awful finale killed it for me. And that's not even touching the asinine amount of sex/nudity, blatant character pandering by the writers, or how the show has become 80% fanfiction and deviated from the source material. The show is simply more of a curiosity to me now.

As for Mr. White, I have to root for him. I've been on his side all this time, and I want to see him succeed. I've also been a fan of Hank's until recently. I thought his bad attitude after his accident was unbearable, and I don't like how he's so inconsiderate about putting Jesse's life on the line or about Walt's family. All he seems to want is the "glory of being the one who caught Heisenberg." I've just grown to dislike him and Jesse. Though I doubt we'll get it, I want nothing more than for Walt to retire, have more than enough money to support his family, and then let everyone move on. I may be in the minority now, but though he's done bad things, I still think he's a good person.
This post makes no sense, you didnt like hanks attitude after surviving 3 shots to the chest and kiling 2 world class assassins at the same time. Dude is a fucking beast. Hes inconsiderate about putting jesses life on the line? WTF you think Walts been doing for the entire series? Inconsiderate about Walts family he cares a great deal about the kids. And you fault hank for wanting the glory of being the man to catch heisenburg but you root for Walt who wants glory for being Heisenberg, tell me which one is worse.

They pass if Walt as an anti hero, he isnt hes straight up evil he and his immediate family deserve a horrible death.

I dunno, I think Hank is just obsessed. He's putting his life, Jesse's life, and Gomie's life on the line to catch someone. He should be going through the proper system to catch Walt, but from what I recall, he's too embarrassed to admit to the Force that his brother-in-law was the ever elusive Heisenberg all along.

As far as Jesse goes, were it not for Walt, he'd be dead years ago. Either by overdose, stabbed in some jail, or killed by some rival meth cook in an alley somewhere. Thanks to Walt, he became clean from drugs, made millions of dollars, and could have done anything he wanted or gone anywhere in the world. I'm just irritated with him now, and as one who roots for the one who knocks, I'm going against Jesse. Don't forget, the evil Heisenberg still called off the Nazi attack in order to spare his brother-in-law who is trying to put him jail, embarrass his family, and destroy all the money he's made to let his family thrive when he passes away. Not only that, even after Jesse covered his house in oil, Mr. White was still the only one to say that killing him was out of the question. Oh yeah, and she deserved it. She was leeching on to Jesse, making him relapse into his drug addiction, then planned to take him far away so they could waste all of his money on drugs and whatever pointless nonsense she told him to. His life turned around for the better after that.
Do gou even watch the show? How would jesse have died years ago without walt? This whole show takes place inside a year. Jane didnt do anything to jesse she just introduced him fo heroine jesse was already doing meth jesse is the one that made her relapse not the other way around. And she flat out says if we leave we have to get clean first.

#Teamwalt all the way.

Haven't liked Jesse since the beginning of season 4. His character has just become a hypocrite. Walt has saved Jesse numerous times and has kept him around because he considers him like a son.

Hes not a hypocrite at all jesse knows hes going to hell, he haz general remorse for the things hes done. Walt considers jesse like a son? What father belittles and manipulates his son to the point of complete submission he certainly doesnt do that to walter jr.

If walt didn't care about Jesse at all then he would have let Jesse die along time ago. He saved jesse from those 2 gangbangers and killed them himself. He saved jesse from that crackhouse or whatever it was in season 2. He has more of a connection to Jesse than Walt Jr. if you really think about it. Walt called his own son Jesse one time. After jr. has his conversation with Walt at the pool in the last weeks episode what does Walt do, he calls jesse immediately. The only reason he wanted Jesse dead now is because jesse was to damn high and paranoid again that he thought walt was going to kill him and so he threatened walt in return so Walt retaliated.

And I seriously doubt Jane and Jesse would have been clean, they would have been dead within a week just like Walt said.

Still waiting for the unforgivable thing for Walt to do on this show.

I want Walt to make it out of this, but I doubt he will in the end. I have my theories about what will happen at the end. I also hope Saul lives because he's my favorite character by far.

Not true at all he didnt let jesse die cause tons of time and manipulation invested in him finding another to be blindly obedient to his endeavors would never be easy. At best Jesse is a pet to walt. He doesnt have a connection at all jesse is desperate to have someone to look up to Walt exploits that. When jesse started to look like he was becoming closer to gus and mike what did walt do he poisoned a child with the sole purpose of manipulating jesse and bending him to his will. Thats not fatherly thats a slave owner or a pimp do you think pimps love their whores like daughters. Again you are imagining things jesse wasnt high when he was paranoid of walt. Jesse knows walt killed mike (despite walts lies) cause mike was on the dea radar now jesse is on the dea radar its perfectly reasonable for him to be paranoid, walt organsized nine deaths in 2 minutes id be scared shitless if i was jesse.

Wait you are still waiting for the unforgivable thing for Walt to do? Poisoning an innocent child for the sole purpose of manipulating someone else isnt unforgivable? Forcing jesse to kill gayle a relatively innocent man. Or how about i dont know creating a meth empire cause hes butthurt he sold his share of a billion dollar company? Those arent unforgivable? Lets not forget he tried to rape his wife.

What? The reason he poisoned Brock was because Gus threatened to kill hank and his entire family. It wasn't out of spite. He needed Jesse on his side. Funny how Walt saves jesse from those 2 gangbangers and then Jesse is quick to forget that gus wanted him dead and works for him and mike like all is forgiven. If he didn't care then why did he do that for Jesse. He could have let jesse get killed and keep working for Gus with no problems. To say that Walt doesn't care for Jesse at all is kind of dumb. Even Hank told Jesse that Walt cares for him. Hell when Saul and even Skylar suggested to Walt that they kill jesse you could see that walt was angry of even the thought of that. He told Saul to get that thought out of his head.

Watch that scene with Skylar again "jesse is not some rabid dog." It's almost as if he wanted to say that he's family which he is. Yes he manipulates him but he does care about him. Jesse is "Heisenbergs" son. While Jr. is Walts son. Jesse gave Walt no choice but to order that hit on him now.

Woah you are way off base. He poisoned brock because jesse was coming dangerously close to siding with mike and gus which walt knew would make walt expendable. He poisoned brocked then blamed it on gus soley so jesse would remain on his side. I already said why he protected jesse, jesse was an obedient dog walt made him that way doing that to another is hard. And no Gus couldnt have killed jesse and kept walt he was grooming gayle way before he met walt he sent him to college to learn chemistry for gods sake gus didnt trust walt from the get go. Gayle was always his long term plan he simply needed walt long enough for gayle to learn his recipe.

Seriously? Man, I don't like what I am pretty sure is about to go down.
Exactly.

I don't want to see Hank taken out by those scum. There is a triangle of people who I would be able to deal with killing each other. it's Walt, Jesse and Hank. Anyone else getting involved will anger me. And it's coming....

Having said that, I don't really want any of them to die. I know Hank must die in this shoot out, though. How else would Walt escape that situation? You know he does, because he's out and about in the flash forward where he has hair and a beard.

My hope is that Walt will kill those dirty bastards with that M-60 he picks up at Denny's in the flash forward. I also hope Jesse lives. He is one of the only people on the show with a good heart.

Best fucking show ever.

He needed Jesse on his side to kill Gus, the man who threatened to kill his entire family, including his infant daughter. The sole reason he poisoned Brock was to kill the man who was a threat to himself and his family. Also Walter knew the kid would survive. I'm sure he knew how much to give the kid so it wasn't lethal. Forcing Jesse to kill Gayle was all Walter could do to save his own ass. What else could he have done? The main reason Walter started cooking and selling meth in the first place was to put aside money for his family when he's gone from cancer. Of course when he went into remission he could have got out of the drug business then, but he had already "broke bad"

That's what I love about this show. It shows the slow transformation of a Mr.Rogers type overachieving high school chemistry teacher into a hardened meth empire drug lord.

Everything walt has done hes done to satisfy his own egoor to save his own ass. And its not a slow transformation this all happens inside a year. Nobody goes from a nobody highschool teacher to fulled blooded evil empire mastermind in a year not even comic book people who are emo about everything. Poisoning a child murder and rape are all unforgiveable i dont know what world you live in where they arent.

No I am not off base. Gus took Walt out into the desert and told him "he was done." Hank was getting closer to finding out about gus and threatened to kill him and walts entire family. He poisoned brock after that happened because he needed jesse on his side to kill Gus. And as for Gus killing Jesse I was referring to when Jesse went up to the two drug dealers by himself to kill them, he would have died because he was by himself and they were ready for him, but walt seeing the news on the TV of course once again has to go and save Jesse before he gets himself killed.

If Walt doesn't care about Jesse then why didn't he just kill him after he was done with the meth business, he didn't even need him anymore. Cover up all the evidence and no loose ends. Walt even gave jesse his money when he didn't have to and left.

I'm not denying that he hasn't manipulated him or that he likes telling jesse what to do "He will listen to me." (line). But I have given you vaild reasons about Walt caring for jesse. You didn't even touch upon the Skylar, Saul, and hank stuff that i mentioned.

Jesse is a tortured soul. Walt cares for him more than any other human on the planet and that's saying a lot. Think about that. EVERYTHING Jesse has done (killing Gayle for example) was to make Walt happy. The person who came closest to a father figure for Jesse was Mike.....and Walt killed him, too. All Jesse is searching for is someone to care about him. Also, look at the way Jesse is around Brock. He truly cares about that little boy. And look at what he did with his money. He tried to give it to Mike's grand daughter and Drew Sharp's family. He felt awful about how he made that money. Deep down there's a good person inside him, that's OBVIOUS. There's MANY more examples but frankly, I don't have the time right now to list them.

Walt has become a monster, I'll agree. No arguing that.

Hank is indeed a badass, but he's still an asshole. Look at the way he treated Jesse. He basically had him set up to be killed and wrote it off by saying "So what? So a junkie dies? Who cares?" He's not even treating Jesse like he is a human.

Having said all this....part of me is still rooting for Walt. He was SUCH a doormat his whole life and now he is a fucking BOSS. There is a part of Walt in all of us that just wants to tell someone to fuck off. Maybe not shoot them or run over them....but at least tell them to fuck off.

Before this show ends, Walt will do one more good deed. I also think Walt will use that ricin on himself ultimately....but that's another story.

Walt won't use the ricin on himself, VG already said that if walt wanted to die ricin would not be the way to go. That's basically 2 days of painful agony. Also did you know that ricin in some cases has been used to treat cancer.

Ahhh....didn't know Vince said that. It was just a theory. Obviously that ricin is coming into play at some point.

Here's what I know and it's what I've told all my friends who discuss the show - Whatever we can possibly assume or predict for the ending of this show will NOT be anywhere near as good as what will actually happen. Marie will probably take matters into her own hand. She had that phone call from hank saying that he caught Walt, but we know thats not going to end will, so maybe Marie will freak out and spill the beans about Walt being Heisenberg which is why he might go into hiding. If she attempts to poison someone she will fuck it up IMO.

I cant believe you are trying to say jesse is a good person. He murdered an innocent and creates drugs that can and have killed countless others? He threatened to send his own innocent parents to jail so he could save some money on a house (who knows what that did to them finnancially). Jesse is scum there is no arguing otherwise a few good deeds (under extreme mental diress) and remorse doesnt justify his actions.

And walt cares for jesse more than anyone in the world? Would you force the person you cared most about to commit murder? Would you poison a child that person cares about for the sole purpose of manipulating them? Would you make that person an accessory to the murder of another child? When that person finally wants to leave that bad situation would you force them to stay? He gives no shits about jesse other than he has time and effort invested in him.
