Community Matchup Chart Project

So ... visited another FGC site, and they were working on building a comprehensive matchup chart for all characters. One that, with the use of statistical analysis, would help determine the statistical tier placements of all characters.

Basically, I'm asking the community to help me out by posting any uneven matchups they can think of for Injustice. Once all the data is compiled, I'll post the results on Google Docs or something else.

As for discrepancies, I'm going to average all the inputs, then attempt to round them to the nearest whole number ratio (i.e. 6-4 vs. 5.5-4.5).

Yeah, I remember, I was the one that tried it and I got almost zero help from top players inputs. It's sad cause ELC will work hard and try to get data but nobody will cooperate.

Instead of every other player making tier lists which are not nearly correct, MU charts are far superior and more accurate. This is how you truly determine top tiers, who has the last bad matchups, who has bad matchups vs only the top tier, etc. It's based on tools alone, not anything else. I can't stress enough how good MU charts are but they are a lot of work, require community effort and the NRS community does not play nice

This doesn't need to be a team effort.
How about going to the character subforums and collecting data from their matchup threads.
From what I last saw, the Lobo Matchup thread was very accurate and in depth.

Many, many things posted in the sub forums are not correct nor realistic in high level play. It needs to come from players that properly represent their respective chars

I know the Shazam match up sub forum has some really useful data. He has a preety hard time with many of the cast. Mostly there 5-5, 6-4, and 4-6.

And where else will you find players 'that properly represent that respective chars'? In their character forums.
Not saying all their forums will be as detailed as Lobo's one, but it's the best you got to go for.

KDZ doesn't post in the Superman forums, nearly ever. Matter of fact, many top players kind of don't and hold their cards to their chest. Are there any proven players in the lobo forums that go out to tournaments and PROVE they are good, vs theory fighting?

KDZ has a pretty comprehensive mastery of Superman, so I can see why he doesn't need to post alot. And its Superman, so not like there's a huge amount tech to be discovered and posted :)

As for "theory fighting" it does have SOME value. I don't really care how many tournaments someone has won... Good tech is good tech, doesnt matter who thought of it.

There are plenty of pro players posting their thoughts and strategies on matchups. The ones who "hold their cards close to their chest" don't matter if someone else lays down a full house on the table.

Besides, any strategy and tech that isnt posted should never be considered good unless it is peer reviewed. There may be an issue with it that other players could find making the tech useless.

Game has been out since april, that's plenty of time now in september to be a "pro" w/that char. This is IGAU, not tekken or sf, there isn't a lot of depth to these chars. Granted we are still learning the game and not everything has been discovered, but yeah, I'm confident the top 8 in evo are "pros" at this game

im sure none of the top 8 for inj make a living from this game. no injustice player is a "pro" by any means.
