Boon reveals the results to his "unofficial" DLC poll and something isn't adding up

Anyway it doesnt matter whether the poll stayed open or not, in the end the 2 top requested characters got into the game. Who came in 2nd in the poll is kinda irrelevant since they can put whoever they want in at this point if they decide to make more.

What makes me mad about it is that just this morning he posted a thing about being nice to people lol. Well if that's true, then answer our questions. They always avoid questions when they should just be honest, how else do they think they'll earn our respect.

Companies now don't care about respect. They know that no matter how shallow, shady, douchebaggy, or insane they know the majority of the consumer base will STILL purchase it. It would take a huge "fuck you" to the consumer to get them to not support it. Look at the original marketing plan for the Xbox One. Even that had defenders.

Yes and they have fulfilled that not once but twice now, nowhere did they say "all" further dlc characters will be decided by polling. Thats often the issue with young folks taking things out of context and/or not thinking thoroughly on the subject at hand.

For the sake of argument there also could have been others who have been highly requested (ala mmh) who were not in the poll....or what if theyre villains? In the end they have no more "obligations" as far as character selection.

Lots of people like Zatanna, she is one of the most famous B tier characters in the DC universe(mostly because of sex appeal, but it still counts)

The only reason people don't play her is because she is garbage, low tier as shit, mad awkward to play, high execution, and you generally have to work very hard with her to even get bleh results.

Same thing could happen to Red Hood, if he ends up being a terrible character that is both hard to control and hard to play, doesn't matter how many fans in the world he has, no one would ever fucking touch him.

Zatanna is really good, she hasn't even been out for a month but yet you call her low tier. Let me guess, you played Zatanna against the entire cast to know this.

But I'm not just referring to the poll, I'm talking about most requested characters that I've seen asked for on Facebook Twitter and even on YouTube. Do you know how long people have been asking for Red Hood? Since the game was announced, before the game was even released people wanted him in the initial roster. The top 3 requested characters that didnt make it into the initial roster were Martian Manhunter, Lobo and Red Hood from what I've seen.

Even in the Injustice Battle Arena tournament, Ed Boon said the most requested were Lobo, Powergirl, Red Hood. So Boon knows himself who highly wanted, and it's so obvious the poll was tampered which however you want to defend it, still doesn't justify what Ed Boon did.

Yes its "so obvious" its not like votes being discovered that werent initially counted, or deciding to admit votes that came in post-official deadline, or initial mistakes in the tally are reasons every bit as likely as tampering. No because that would mean you would have nothing to complain about.

Not about "defending" anything, its about bringing attention to automatically drawing negative preconceived notions fueled by being hurt that X character didnt get in. Believe whatever theory you like I guess...if you suspect foul play dont buy anything else from them, thats what grown folks do.

EDIT: They guy acts like Boon has played a major part in changing all of our lives for the better.

Indeed he did. Thanks to him and John Tobias we have Mortal Kombat, the greatest fighting game of all time imo. And after Mr. Tobias left the former Midway after MK4, Ed Boon carried on the MK legacy (not all by himself, obviously, there is a whole MK team) and led the way in creating such great games as Deadly Alliance, Deception, MK9, and now Injustice: Gods Among Us. And yes, I skipped Armageddon and MK vs. DC Universe on purpose. The former was a really, really bad game and the latter was just a mediocre fighter, not really worthy of the MK name.

If it wasn't for Ed Boon, there would be no MK and Injustice for us to play and enjoy, there would be no MK community, and this website wouldn't exist, so give the guy the respect he deserves.

The poll was just a distraction to cover up top requested characters to make it seem like nobody voted enough for them. Dr. Fate got the worst out of all of them.

Red Hood was good until the poll came up and people knew he was highly requested that's why people would come to put down Red Hood fans all the time because they see his name constantly making highly requested.

Just because there boring from your life experience doesn't mean there boring to everyone else, and imo nobody on that poll is boring, if you think so than that's your opinion.

I like how Red Hood is SO FUCKING DIFFERENT from Deathstroke that he should have his own slot but Black Manta should be an Aquaman skin.
