wat do you mean cancel dashes? Dash no matter how good will get blown up , if people are doing dash into a normal. Easy to react to. Just watch Rico play. Thats how he gets half his dmg, people dashing in and throwing out normals thinking it's a good strategy. What bane has is that he can do an armored move that comes out on the first frame unlike the universal armor via his trait, that kinda makes this a good strategy but like I said she has a safe 2 hitting normal.
And anyway, I have said my view, no point in beating a dead horse. I could be wrong, but time will tell.

No character can as far as I know.... is this true?
you can only do it like 2 frames before the dash duration , but that's universal and two frames hardly matter.

Yeah, someone did it in one of the tutorial videos in the Bane forum. Its like an hour long, but yeah. I think its because that's how far his old dash went and they never fixed the box or something.

Its one of those "if you want to, you can." type deals where you have to make a conscious effort to do it but its not something that takes really heavy execution. I personally don't use it, but its something we've appearently been able to do for a while since by my reads the BCC talks about it late May/early June. I think RYX brought it up? Possibly, dunno.

Whats with everyone assuming Bane is involved in the worst MUs?

Probably has to do with debuff if I were to guess. From my time using Bane it felt like his good pressure game is entirely dependent on Venom. The moment it runs out his pressure is utterly neutered and he has very little without it to make him scary. Any character with multi-hitting projectiles, "not considered"-projectiles, or something that makes it so they don't really care about super armor can feel like such an uphill battle since you're potentially using your most valuable resource just to get where he wants to be, only to have it run out and suddenly those 30%+ combos they can punish you with become a lot more painful.

I'm no expert mind you and this is all just my current experience. I tried maining Bane but dropped him after getting frustrated at how much of his stuff doesn't work like it's supposed to. I'm just saying I gave the character a shot and can totally see where the perception comes from. Especially the match-ups against Batman and Superman.

I assume by tools u mean Mb swamp hands.....and that's only one move and requires them to be on the ground. Sups can pretty much chip grundy out or just f23 him....also his trait shuts down almost all of grundy's offense. Bats u can win.....Cyborg will just grapple away, sups has air dash, f23, trait, eye lasers and several wake ups that will beat out or make grundy's wake up pressure from hard knockdowns useless. Hawkgirl is obvious....grundy is near useless in the air, and hawkgirl never has to come down and can simply spam mace charge and mace throw. His only option is wwc into a string on reaction vs either one or hard knock down then follow up interactables. I don't know anything about the lobo match up....but the grundy match up is definitely terrible.

f23 loops are risky for superman against grundy. If grundy has meter he can grab him and without meter he can backdash a followup f23 for a full combo punish on superman. That sets up more of a guess game so not a huge deal. Batman is actually harder than people realize. Based on how 99% of batman's play I'd actually say the match is 6-4 in grundy's favor however there is one thing that I'm not seeing most batman's use that totally shuts grundy down.

I know in theory the cyborg match is bad but I have only lost to him once. Jailhouse tried to play me but I had to go. Need to set up something with him.

Hawkgirl is pretty bad because she does chunks of damage with mace charge and you can meterburn it to avoid a WCC. She also has WE 3 which is a pain to deal with. Mixing WE 3 and mace charge is all you really need to make grundy struggle.

I run the Grundy vs Dicky MU quite a bit with my bro poofynamanama2 and we go pretty even so I can vouch for that.

Please don't vouch for a random swamp hands as the way to deal with nightwing thats actually terrible advice.

Before the dash buffs, I would agree it was an impossible MU. Before the charge buffs, I would agree it was a 7-3.
We have answers for everything now, and wake-up is even more of a problem for batman.
I wouldn't go above 6.5/3.5, even counting stages, especially looking at our other 7-3 MUs by comparison.

I'd need a lot (and I mean a lot) more convincing to believe its anything worse than a 6-4, stage withholding (I feel on Strykers its a 5-5)

Throw in a stage like Atlantis or any that allows movement like the tube in the middle plus Bats keeping you in blockstun, and then Bats mix up game on Bane when he's in debuff pushes it to 7-3

Except we never have to go to level 3 to get in. Its hard, yes, but impossible? Not in the slightest. We can get in venomless if we need to, and all he can do is keep backing up.
