Project MrE's "V for Vendetta" DLC request and character history

Among the vast DC Universe roster of characters... when DLC became a 'happening' thing for a DC fighting game such as "INJUSTICE: Gods Among Us", the requests for characters were and still are mind-blowing. One character in particular has had a fair amount of requests; perhaps due to the movie that came out for it back in 2005. The character we're talking about is "V" or "V for Vendetta, which means "revenge".

Project MrE has put together an informative video on the character and its history starting from the early comics. If you too, feel the same as Project MrE, let us know.

Although, this kind of request may be in vain at this point; with the DC Universe the possibilities are endless!

I would love #Vforinjustice, and would main him no matter what. I however dont see it happening lol. Also I think V would align with batman pretty well instead of being the mercenary you said to be. Plenty of hero's want freedom, thats besides the point. Great Video. I hope it works!

Meh. I really don't care too much for Alan Moore outside a few comics he's done and, though I never read V for Vendetta, I was indifferent to the movie. If we were going to get a character from Vertigo I'd rather have one with more mainstream DCU prominence, like Animal Man or Swamp Thing.

No thanks.

Would be cool for a minute, but wouldn't be worth the subsequent tirades of complaining from Alan Moore about every little problem he has with V's portrayal in the game....

I've enjoyed the recent New 52 Swamp Thing issues written by Soule. Snyder's stuff was okay too. Never read Alan Moore's take. Criminal, I know, but I'm getting to it. :p

But yeah, not a big fan of Alan Moore.

I can dig it, I loved that movie. He really should have been the guest character instead of Scorpion. Him, a Watchmen dude, or Hellboy would've been a lot more interesting than copy-and-paste man.

I loved this idea. V would be a great addition to Injustice (if they are putting
more characters on the future, that is).

Sure, there are several fan favorites still (Power Girl, Swamp Thing, etc...),
but, i can definitely see V being a top contender as well.

From the beginning, before Injustice came out, I was hoping for V and Watchmen characters. I have the sense that it isn't going to happen, as cool as it would be. For one, I don't if there are legal licensing issues with those characters, since they were done by Moore as graphic novels, he might not have signed away the ability to use them in video games. Also, I suspect that DC/Warner Bros would rather use the opportunity to promote their active roster of characters, including the whole New 52 and Flashpoint ideas. Thus, I'll be pleasantly surprised if this happens, and I am totally with you on wanting it to happen, I just have trouble seeing it happen. I hope I'm wrong.

Although i loved the idea for V in Injustice,

i don't think it's necessary for him to have a "Breast Plated Alternate Costume"
and/or to be turned into a transsexual to display equal rights on sexual preference.

Don't get me wrong. I got nothing against the LGBT community and
the character's strong ideology defends equal rights for everyone (and
struggle against fascism), including them. It's pretty much self spoken.

Don't see why would need to make a newly themed alternate costume to prove
the point even further. He doesn't represent just one group specifically, but, he represents an idea.

Anyways,
i think the character is awesome and i hope it makes an appearance
on Injustice with that slick NRS design. :)
