Something I noticed in the Dead Pool - Pool of Blood

I don't know if this means anything, but sometimes when I play in the Dead Pool there is a small pool of blood and vapors coming from the center of the arena, in the acid. Other times there is nothing. Has anyone else seen this? Could it be some type of secret?

I probably should have added that the picture I included doen't show it, I'm just simply pointing out where it is. The thing that gets me is why is it there sometimes and not all the time?

I wouldn't be surprised, and I believe those things are linked to secrets too. Also someone mentioned a while back ago that the Dead Pool stage fatality has 2 files in the folder structure for the game.

No the Santa and Smoke thing are used to fight the Hidden Characters in Ladder.

But you have to access them by a certain means.

It was a couple days ago that I saw this so if memory serves me correct I believe I was able to access it in practice mode. But for sure I know I was able to access it in 2 players vs offline. Although I had to keep picking the same stage over and over. From then on if I kept picking the stage it would always show up. As for ladder I don't think so.

Ambient graphics are based on timers, bro.
At this level of design they can do about ten million different little things that show up randomly at random positions inside the liquid texture to spice it up and you'll never realize all of them unless you sit there taking notes, look at the code or the artist's notes.

Something I should have said back when this was being discussed, is that I thought the use of the word (private) in that facebook post could be referring to in a PRIVATE MATCH only. Also it shows a picture of the the Pit Bottom stage and there is also a Kombat code that says "What lurks at the bottom of the pit?" So maybe it's not just for fighting MK1 Reptile like how many thought, since that might be a little too obvious due to that secret already being known about from the first MK.

So it might or might not be done in the Pit Bottom stage or Dead Pool. Also guys remember character move lists show the word 'varies' next to the stage fatality. This could also mean something.

Anyways I don't have the Komplete Edition (which you might need?), but someone should try to see if they discover something by meeting all the above requirements. That is play a private match online (or maybe offline for that matter), put in the Kombat code, play in a stage with a stage fatality (maybe Pit Bottom or even Flesh Pits too) and try different button sequences at different screen ranges if a characters normal stage fatality input doesn't work. You never know...
