Looking to practice offline with GGA guys

I suppose this is basically a fishing thread. I said in my Noob Passage thread, but I'm based in the Chicago area, about an hour driver from Galloping Ghost. When I found out that the staff there are big tourney goers, I wanted to try and get some casuals with them, but I have one problem. I don't play on stick. I wanted to ask before hand, but if any GGA guys see this thread. Do you guys play offline casuals with people outside the team? If so, can we do it on the console in the back room? I don't mind practicing with the cabinets, but it will take awhile to get used to it since I'm a pad player. Also, if anyone else sees this thread, could someone let me know how to tag people, as I'm new to forums, and don't know how.

Lol dude the entirety of GGA casuals are played on consoles in the back room. Bring your controller and you're set. Everyone there is nice except soonk, and if you don't know how to play on stick it doesn't matter. If you show up on the nights people are playing then you can play with pretty much anyone.

if you want to tag people just type "@Username" without the quotes. for example to tag me you'd type FrothyOmen.

We play on Tuesdays and Thursdays there. It's 5 bucks for the night if you're just coming to play in the console area. We will have our first weekly this Thursday as well. People generally show up around 8ish.

I believe GGA HAN was going to make a post about this sometime soon.

Actually there is this weird roller coaster you get with soonk. First he is horrible. Then he seems nice. And then when it is all said and done you realize your initial impressions of him were closer to the truth.

Sounds like other people I know actually. I have questions about the weekly, but I guess I'll wait for GGA HAN to post it, or I'll just show up tomorrow with my controller.
