For the Brotherhood!
I go by Blank October. I grew up playing MK and I love my superheroes, so you can imagine what I'm playing right now! I stay in Florence, SC, and sadly, there isn't much of a scene, so you may see me online a great deal.

One Injustice question: What is the most important thing to learn about the game? I know combos, but I still get beat pretty good given the opponent.

Combos are only a small fraction of important things to know in a fighting game. Combos are nothing if you cannot catch your opponent in them.

You may try learning about your fastest/higher-damage/long-reaching punishers, whiff-punishing, and anti-airs. Learning how to be patient is good, too.
Match-up experience (knowing what works and what doesn't against certain tactics and playstyles of your opponent) is also a big part of fighting games.

I'd recommend going into the Gameplay Topics forum and checking some of the stickied threads. Ideally, you can try looking up videos of your main being played at a high-level. Watch what the player/s do and don't do in their matches, and see what mistakes led to their defeat, if they have lost.

My dear Rampie, there are plenty of times for fucking around, but remember that there are also times when you have to act like a man.
