Injustice: Gods Among Us Top 8 Update for Summer Jam 7!

We started this morning off with our top sixteen for Injustice: Gods Among Us at the Kombat Network stream for Summer Jam 7, and now, after a series of epic matches, we bring to you an update on the players who have earned their way to top 8 status! These warriors will battle it out for the right to don the tournament crown! There is also a bit of a situation that needs to be explained regarding one of our matches for Top 8, so please read on for details.

Regarding the "situation" that was mentioned at the beginning of this post, one of the top 8 matches for Loser's Bracket, PTH KhaoTik vs. Playing to Win, was played preemptively during the course of the Kombat Network stream, as explained by Sabin. This was not realized until someone re-examined the brackets whilst another match for top 16 was in progress. However, it was decided that the outcome of the match will stand, which means that xKhaoTik remains in the tournament while Playing To Win goes home with seventh place. Props to both players for providing us with an entertaining match and we look forward to seeing what the rest of the top 8 will showcase!​

Speaking of that, top 8 is scheduled to take place at approximately 2:00 P.M. EST at http://www.twitch.tv/teamsp00ky. This time may be subject to change as the tournament progresses, so we will be sure to keep you informed whenever we secure updates! Until then, hang tight and get ready for an epic clash!​

Imo, riyo plays aquaman the best out of all of us aquaman players. I've been saying this since we played a few weeks ago. And he is looking really on point today

So many great people in top 8 I can't pick a favorite. Rooting for REO, Darth, and Playing to W1n lol. Yeah the whole losers bracket basically lol. Fuck I want everyone to win lmao

As much as I want to see REO take it with my favorite character, I also don't because TYM will fucking freak out about MMH and clutter his forums with reactionary posts about how OP and broken he is.

Counterpoint: Superman has only won ONE major out of the 6 or 7 that we've had since release. Doesn't even win any of the weeklies aside from 8 on the Break.

I mean this is so annoying. Not to mention that Tekken is really painful to watch. The game might be fun to play, but it does not spectate well. Game is incredible boring and the graphics are horrible.


Another fighting game tournament that is way behind schedule. Coming up on 2 hours behind schedule right now.

Gosh, the commentary on the Kombatnetwork stream is awful, unprofessional, and just so negative. I don't know who that guy was that kept calling Tom Bray emo, with Tom sitting next to him, but that's a douche bag behavior right there. How can you insult a guy when he is sitting right next to you, on stream no less. I am very disappointed with this tournament. Not to mention they are already almost 2 hours late!
