I hardly ever play MK or injustice online but if I do I only decline if someone doesn't have 4 bars or dots, etc.

Ok, so my ideal online play session would be playing 1v1 player matches, getting matched with somebody either at my skill level or greater (not determinable by stats displayed on screen), and playing them over and over again. If they're completely bad and still willing to continue playing I might play three games or even pick their character to sort of teach them some shit. Then I leave. If the player is better than me or even just a worthy match I'll play at least five. At least. Thats my ideal play session, playing a good opponent match after match. It never happens. I give up on player match 1v1 after the tenth decline because damn it I just want to play. From there its ranked matches or KOTH.

When playing KOTH, you're forced to deal with alot of scrubs (more so than the other modes, IMO), people with bad connections and people who don't seem to even be in their house yet their xbox is on and forcing them to pick the Joker.

Anyway I get declined more by the people with 2-300% records than I do by new players or those with poor records. The "I'm too cool to play you" is just as bad as "I don't want to play someone far beyond my level to be a punching bag."

And I'm no guru on the internet or anything like that. But it seams in KOTH or Survival rooms a couple people can pollute the whole lobby with their dollar store connection.

One has to wonder if dodging is an epidemic in this game due to the DC Comics intellectual property. DC Comics is an IP that would attract a casual crowd that likely avoided MK, an IP that has always attracted mostly, if not only fighting game enthusiasts.

As far as how to stanch the high decline rate by this community, you have to network and make friends to find a steady group of people to play with. I used to be quiet when playing, but I began building rapport with all sorts of players from good players to newbies that genuinely want to learn just by talking into my mic during matches. The risk of course is running into some douche nozzles, but the benefit of making acquaintances with good or fun players outweighs the risk of meeting jerk wads, although you'll at least have something to post in the Hate Mail threads.

Exactly, someone gets why KOTH and Survivor lobbies are not viable for sustainable gameplay. All it takes is one person with a bad connection to ruin what was previously a relatively smooth lobby.

Play Ranked so they can't decline

Ranked is the worst way to find matches in this game. Since one cannot decline a Ranked match, playing Ranked is a shot in the dark due to the possibility of being matched against someone with a bad connection. Most people would get pissed if they lost a match solely due to spammy lag abuse by someone that is cognizant of their having a potato modem.

Myv record is like 20 wins more than losses becayse I play good people mostly from nrf. I get Noob hunters with 500-120 win loss all the time challenging me who prompltly quit after I win one match.

Geez why would you decline ppl with less then 3 bars? I play ppl from US on my FL alot and the games are playable with only 1 bar. Those bars are not accurate at all anyway cause ive had plenty of bad games vs ppl with 4 bars.

i think that varies from day to day. 1 bar will always be worse than 3 bars at the same time, but there are days when one bar is very playable and days where its terrible.

This is why I only ever play injustice if people from here are playing. I invite a group of you to a private koth and we (usually) have a good time...with some interesting fights too. :3

I only play Ranked match and tbh you do generally get good matches.
Everyone declines player match and every leaves the koth lobbies because they can't win with Deathstroke who for some reason is god tier to them.

And then almost everyone who accepts waits until you pick your character to counter pick you. It has gotten so prevalent that when the other person does go to their character right away I get confused which player I am for a second.

I'm ok at the game with about a 350-150ish record and I struggle to find people sometimes

Only have one IRL friend that plays so we tend to have 5-20 match sets a day which is fun

If I'm really bored I'll go on my 9yo brothers account and play (25-60ish record) and the hate mail in ranked is great, I remember beating somebody that played nearly 4k fights and got a "nice" message
