Who is the funnest character to play..

Over a long period of time? ive been playing this game for a couple months now, I really like DC characters alot, and I like this game. but my problem is getting bored with characters after a certain amount of time, and in the end keeps me from getting that much better cause i wanna jump around instead of just completely figure out a character and be comfortable playing them.

I started with doomsday, it got old real fast, and i convinced myself i was super pro cause how easy it was to beat people online with him lol.
switched to joker got into that for a bit was fun for second then just lost interest, tried shazam was cool i guess, then went to wonder woman and spent the most time with her trying to figure everything about her most practice time, and honestly it was just easy to win with her but it didnt feel as simple as doomsday. and lately ive been tryna figure out everything with grundy and again, losing interest..
so i guess im asking what character takes the longest to learn everything about and is most rewarding the more and more you put in work with them?

obviously its all opinion it cant be a set answer but id be curious on what everyone thinks

I've found Shazam & Harley the funnest characters to play. Zatanna & Lobo are up there too.

Definitely think Shazam is the most rewarding.

i thought about lobo especially after seeing this justice league episode where superman dies and lobo tries to take his spot lol, he had a sick line about calling someguy a dead man. He seems interesting enough gameplay wise, and has awesome backstory.

could anybody kinda elaborate on what they like or what makes those characters fun?

Shazam and Green Arrow, definitely fun and actually require work to win with. That being the case, it's much more rewarding when you get the W.

Lex Luthor is the funnest for me to play. I would main him if he were a little better. He's been my secondary up until recently; now he's my third. Even though he has to work really hard, he will always have a place on my "mains" list.

Lex seems interesting as well, and might fuel me in my hate for supes online. and ive always kinda been into set up characters

I cant really pick up zatanna green arrow or harley because my girlfriends brother mains those characters and we kinda have like a fighting game rivalry. So i just cant do it lol

Shazam,,, the feeling off connect every command grab is too good

Bane : It is soooo dam fun to just be completely unmatched when you are up close against so many characters. Alot of people can't adapt to him. He's not played very much, so you are sure to find other players who don't understand how venom works, and you can just run them over, and over, and over.

Lex : He's almost definitely the funnest character to watch play. He's one of the few character who you will see using 8 different types of combos in a game that are all equally effective. Alot of other characters simply have 1 really good combo and the rest are just not effective enough.

Green Arrow: He alternates between retreating and rushing you down constantly, because he'll start losing if he stays in either "zoning" or "rushdown" mode for too long. You get to do this while you wait to build up meter and do awesome super-move combos.

Also, the Lex vs Supes matchup isn't really bad unless you are playing at a very, very high skill level. Every match I've had against a Superman player that was TS anywhere up to about 28, it felt even.

Of course, there are alot of matchups that are the reverse- very bad unless you can play at a very high, competitive level. It's why I play Ares as my secondary, and why my last suggestion is:

Ares: He's got all the moves that on the surface would make him one of the "braindead characters." An unblockable, very damaging ground slam move, he can turn invisible, he can teleport, and his trait is AWESOME. But then you look at the frame data and you find you can't use ANY of these things without being careful and strategic in their use. That makes him very fun to play.

Most fun to play? Interesting enough I like a lot of these characters but the most fun I have is with those Stance change characters. WW and NW. (Ah if only Zatanna was a stance character although I like playing her too.)

[Braindead]

nightwing all the way, his trait completely changes him its like playing with 2 characters not one. he has lots of stuff to try you wont get bored with him. playing with NW against good zoners may get frustrating though
