Already better than KF
Yeah. Her B1U3 and B23 come out too slow. It's not guaranteed that they will hit, so its not a vortex. There is no vortex only standing resets.

she has high low guesses, when you are in the daze, thats basicly a 50/50 vortex isnt it?
Its not guaranteed the normals are to slow you can backdash or jump out of it. They are just standing resets.if you are guaranteed a 50/50 off that special at the end ( or a way to repeat the combo and set up), then yes it would be a vortex.
if this is escapable, then no it is not.
Cool. I dont have the character so wouldnt know. Its not guaranteed the normals are to slow you can backdash or jump out of it. They are just standing resets.
vortexes require hard knockdowns... technically speaking he is right. It's a 50/50 reset loop. In the FGC, a vortex gives you options to escape other than a coin flip guess. In SF4, you have wake up options against Akuma, Ibuki etc. In NRS games it's a 50/50 guess. There is a difference. I assume for practical reasons, people who play NRS games refer to these 50/50 reset loops as vortexes and I guess they have adapted that name for these loops. A vortex is more what Pig is doing with Sinestro w/ trait on wake up, or the people doing the MMH orb cross up on wake up, or Black Adam cross up DK setups on wake up. Key word is wake up. This is why they set them all up with untechable knockdowns.if you are guaranteed a 50/50 off that special at the end ( or a way to repeat the combo and set up), then yes it would be a vortex.

the nrs community has pretty much labeled any repeatable situation that is similar to the hard knockdown vortexes in sf4, as a vortex.vortexes require hard knockdowns... technically speaking he is right. yep, vortexes in the fgc can be escaped by other means than guess blocking. For example, in SF4 if Akuma is going for his vortex and you are using Akuma... you can wake up teleport all options. To make a long story short... you are correct, sir.the nrs community has pretty much labeled any repeatable situation that is similar to the hard knockdown vortexes in sf4, as a vortex.
so what killer frost does to you, when she loops those 50/50 mix ups into standing reset... we pretty much call them vortexs.
I dont see why any situation that is loopable and has a stop where the opponent has to guess, shouldn't just be called a vortex.
i guess it is the escapable part.
Yeah when i talk about a vortex in this game i mean something different than a SF4 vortex like Akuma or Cammy.yep, vortexes in the fgc can be escaped by other means than guess blocking. Oh yeah, I've been in these threads long enough to know what you guys refer to as a vortex, but it can be confusing for those who come from other games due to the common misused words in the fgc. The what that is most misused is hitbox. When most people on TYM are using the word hitbox they usually mean hurtbox. I can usually figure out which one they mean, but it can be confusing at times. These are old school words that reference 2d sprite fighters where the literally made a box on the part of the body that could hit you during moves (hitbox) vs the box over your body that if touched by a hitbox registered as a hit (hurtbox). The boxes usually extended outside the characters. Now they use bubbles on the 3d models, but who wants to say hitbubble and hurtbubble. I'm not trying to get super technical about this or put anyone down, just stating some technicalities that may help someone.Yeah when i talk about a vortex in this game i mean something different than a SF4 vortex like Akuma or Cammy.
She can do meter burn dive into combo for standing reset or whateverHow easily can she convert if a string catches the opponent airborne right after they leave the ground?
