I actually really liked your post instead of saying anyone who wants red hood is a scrub you put your argument out there in a clear intelligent way! I totally see what your getting at because the gadget people are only capable of so much, but popularity does sell, and Red Hood has come so far in the DCU to even be this requested! A few years ago most people didn't even know who Jason Todd was, and I always thought he was a great character who just needed a little push to be really popular and here he is. Batman does have a lot of characters in game already, but people will shell out 5 bucks for just about any character who comes out of Gotham weather it's Huntress, Red Hood, Ivy, or Scarecrow. Red Hood is a character NR could really make shine in their game, and I think he could be a great addition to the roster! On more obscure characters I really wish they added a couple to the roster. I would have loved to have Booster Gold, The Question, Fate, John Constantine, Firestorm, Swampy, Captain Atom, Captain Cold, Blue Beetle, Atrocitus, and a bunch more, but most of them wouldn't sell as well as Black Canary or Red Hood or Power Girl sadly... :[ Most of those people would be great additions, but would have to be in the initial cast due to people not being as familiar with them. DC seems to be the Bat Supes club it's a shame that some of their truly great characters don't get promoted the way they should. if it weren't for that though most people still wouldn't know Red Hood so it isn't all bad. I'm just really thrilled Jason is getting enough love to even show up on the radar! Red Hood is one of my favorite DC characters so I'd be rooting for him to get in no matter what, but there are some other characters I would have loved to see make the cut too, and hopefully they all will in the future of this franchise whether it's in this game as DLC or future installments!My comment doesn't address to all red hood fans, but to a majority of them yes. John Constantine would have been an interesting choice, although my preferred magic user would have to be Dr. Fate . As for the reasons why people dont want red hood included in the game, yes, i do agree that there is a lot of ignorant reasons that people are throwing out. I personally understand that NRS will make any character somewhat unique and there will be no " deathstroke clones". I also understand that personal preference " i don't like him" shouldn't be a deciding factor in the inclusion of a character. However, I do understand where people come from when they say there are too many batman characters. I know a lot of ppl feel that too many batman characters shouldn't matter. However i disagree. The reason why im not all for red hood is simply because of diversity. When I first heard about injustice being released one of the main things i was hyped about was the thought of the many different possible characters that will be include both initial and DLC. Yes i was aware and excited that many were going to be the popular characters that everyone is familiar with, but i was also excited about the possible characters that are not as well known being included, characters that would even be a mystery to me. The point is red hood is a cool character and all but i much rather see a character that is over looked, one that can bring a sense of curiosity and mystery. a character that intrigues you to learn more about. Red hood i feel lacks that and even though he wont play exactly like deathstroke, NW etc. i feel hes not bringing much new to the table. As for playstyle i do understand he fits perfect for a fighting game being that he knows martial arts and all but that im not worried about just look at raven, harley etc. There is alot of batman villains that would fit perfect in this game, but the dcu isnt just batman and there are more characters out there that fit equally as well. anyways sorry for the long post i got a into it too much lol and for the record i hate it when ppl say make RH a skin for DS.
Yea I feel bad for u man,Flash is pretty damn redundant. I'm happy GL turned out super-solid since he's my fave,I was worried until I started playing with him and figuring what to do...so if nothing else at least my fave character is in and he's dope. Hopefully Red Hood gets in to automatically be my 2nd main cuz as of now I really don't have one,just a pocket Batman/Superman for bad match ups
If Red Hood ever was in a Arkham Game I would flip xD I'm beta testing the multiplayer for Origins now, and I'm really enjoying it! Having more villain teams besides Bane, and Joker would be awesome, and Red Hood would be a perfect team leader!!!! Hopefully they add some other groups in this one or future ones when Jason can be cannon! He'd be great in the story mode, and having him online would just be icing one the cake!
