should Red Hood be DLC

honestly if red hood is guna be in the game he has already been created and there is no need to continue requesting him. The next DLC character will probably be announced in 2 weeks and im sure it takes at least a month to create and balance one character. In other words the developers decided who the last two characters would be months ago.
We're not gonna ask about that, where asking why he was ignored on the poll like if he was cut or something..

I'm likely going to regret stirring up this hornet's nest, but I'm interested so I'm gonna do it anyway....

Ok, so has anyone here finished the Zod challenge on the Injustice mobile game? And if so, did anyone notice the "Upcoming Challenges" teaser at the end of it? Well, one of the outlined blacked out figures was definitely Raven, without a doubt. The other one, however, had guns on him, but he was wearing a trench coat or something of some sort. Now, I know Hood wears a jacket, not a long coat like this, but does anyone possibly think it could be him? I'm just not sure who else it could be, so this was my best guess. Anyone manage to get a screenshot of that, or have any idea of what I'm talking about at all?

I haven't seen it myself (a picture would really help), but sounds like Red Son Deathstroke to be honest.
And I sat there arguing to to the death that the Zatanna hints made more sense for Red Hood...

Well I was just curious. I thought that maybe too, but it didn't look like that. And that seemed dumb to do a challenge for a character that we already have... Raven is at least new to the roster for the mobile game. I accidentally clicked out of the picture before I could screenshot it or look more closely.

I saw a promo after Batgirls challenge that was the outline of Zod and a long coated gun wealder I wasn't positive who it was either, but I just assumed it was Red Son Deathstroke. Who knows though maybe it is a Hood hint only time will tell!

Lol this whole time I was wondering how people got the dlc characters on the ios? Then I realized i never updated the app on my ipad. Ima check this silhouette out now.

Face it, you're done.
The red hood fans are butt hurt but seriously this character is so dry. What part of his story doesn't scream batman reject?

He's uninteresting, just another non powered nut case.

Thank you.

Reading is a valuable skill, if you use it within this thread, you might actually see what is wrong with your "argument".

Then again, ignorance is bliss, and who am I to deny someone of their happiness?

What argument? I simply stated my opinion after reading 60+ pages of red hood snore fest. I asked a question to which no one has directly replied to yet either.

Red hood is boring; he wouldn't really last as long as characters like the big 3 (bats supes wowo) or any other me too able characters in the DCU.

My mistake, reading as well as counting are your weak points. My mistake.

See, your original statement is that he's boring and just Deathstroke 2.0.

I had already addressed that point well before you stumbled along into this thread to spout nonsense.

See the issue is that apart from using two hand-guns... Deathstroke and Red Hood lose similarities in how they fight.

Red hood also doesn't fight like any other Robin. I find the argument (not that you made this one) that Red Hood should even be a Nightwing skin because they're "both just Robins" beyond laughable because Red Hood doesn't use escrimas or a staff. He's also well known with his use of guns mixed with CQC. Which while similar to DS, they go about it much differently because Jason WAS, yes, trained by Batman.
Super-powered or not doesn't really matter much. Hell, even Green Lantern and Sinestro literally have no powers. Are you complaining how they shouldn't be in the game based on the title of it?

Sure, you may not enjoy Red Hood as a character, and that's all preference. But to just say "Oh, he's just another bat reject/Another Deathstroke" isn't opinion anymore, it's just plain ignorance.

Also, as far as depth and character story goes, have you really even read any comics ever? Because most of the DCU is boring as hell, with piss-poor writing and plot. Batman characters (more specifically the villains manage to retain the best writing for some unknown reason).

Honestly, Superman is by far the most boring character to ever be written. But, I'm not gonna hop into Superman threads going off about how he shouldn't even be in the game because I find him boring, because that would be: Let's say it together kids! "Ignorant"!

But even then, let's just all take a step back here for a minute. At the end of the day, this isn't a comic (Although the Injustice comic so far has been flawless with the exception of Nightwing possibly having the lamest death ever).

This is a fighting game. And when you get right down to it, who the character is doesn't matter one bit when you're actually playing. But how they function and play within the game engine is. And I think NRS is more than capable of taking the concept behind Red Hood, and all of his fighting tactics and weapons and giving him interesting and unique mechanics within the game engine to make him an interesting and unique character.

So there's no butthurt over "Oh, this guy doesn't want my precious Red Hood in Injustice! I'm gonna cry about it now!" (because let's face it, even in Red Hood & The Outlaws, it's Arsenal and Starfire that REALLY make that comic what it is and I actually do enjoy Red Hood), so much as it is just REALLY trying to figure out how anyone can post the dribble you've decided to come here with and HONESTLY think it's a legitimate opinion, let alone productive to any form of conversation or debate.

This is why i decided that they need just put red hood in the game and get over with it, so i can stop seeing this all over TYM. Its getting real old seeing all these red hood arguements all the time. red hood fans are just relentless and don't want to take no for an answer or even open up to suggestions. character favorites get shot down all the time but it seems like red hood fans just cant take any opinons, critisim or rejection of there requested character without getting all super defensive and (for lack of better words) butthurt about it.

I'm totally open to suggestion and I've never shot down a single idea for a character (Hell, even MMH and Zatanna who I both found uninteresting I was on board for, although I still think John Constantine would have been a cooler magic user to put in over her, but hey, popularity means sales so why not?).

But can I at least hear a legitimate reason as to why, without question he shouldn't be considered for DLC.

Because all I have yet to hear is "Not another Bat character", "He's just Deathstroke", and "I don't like him". With sadly the last one being the most legitimate...

My comment doesn't address to all red hood fans, but to a majority of them yes. John Constantine would have been an interesting choice, although my preferred magic user would have to be Dr. Fate . As for the reasons why people dont want red hood included in the game, yes, i do agree that there is a lot of ignorant reasons that people are throwing out. I personally understand that NRS will make any character somewhat unique and there will be no " deathstroke clones". I also understand that personal preference " i don't like him" shouldn't be a deciding factor in the inclusion of a character. However, I do understand where people come from when they say there are too many batman characters. I know a lot of ppl feel that too many batman characters shouldn't matter. However i disagree. The reason why im not all for red hood is simply because of diversity. When I first heard about injustice being released one of the main things i was hyped about was the thought of the many different possible characters that will be include both initial and DLC. Yes i was aware and excited that many were going to be the popular characters that everyone is familiar with, but i was also excited about the possible characters that are not as well known being included, characters that would even be a mystery to me. The point is red hood is a cool character and all but i much rather see a character that is over looked, one that can bring a sense of curiosity and mystery. a character that intrigues you to learn more about. Red hood i feel lacks that and even though he wont play exactly like deathstroke, NW etc. i feel hes not bringing much new to the table. As for playstyle i do understand he fits perfect for a fighting game being that he knows martial arts and all but that im not worried about just look at raven, harley etc. There is alot of batman villains that would fit perfect in this game, but the dcu isnt just batman and there are more characters out there that fit equally as well. anyways sorry for the long post i got a into it too much lol and for the record i hate it when ppl say make RH a skin for DS.

See, Dr. Fate (much like MMH) is one of those characters I see a lot of hype for as a DLC option, but I just don't understand why. I just get this feeling of "Why should I even care about this character exactly?", which leads me to my friends who know more about the DCU than I do, because deep down, I know I'm a Marvel-guy and just will never understand it all. And hopefully they can explain it to me in a way that could possibly get me excited about seeing the character.

But, this also leads me to understanding the "I just don't like him/her" argument of any DLC character because popularity is what's going to help the DLC selections. At the end of the day, while we may love or hate them WB, DC, and NRS are all businesses and need to make money off of these sales to keep doing what they do and even giving us more of it.

But to the point of too many Bat characters, I will admit, I am personally biased as I do prefer many of the characters from the Batman universe it's self over the rest of the DCU (I tend to find the writing as a whole to be better and the characters just feel more real to me. Seriously, no other series has made me want to just hug a giant crocodile that would jsut kill me because I feel so damn bad for it/him). But then there were character choices already that had me scratching my head (Killer Frost for example. Seriously, I had to look up what she was even from, and the comic she's from is more obscure than she is...). Or how before the game came out, my friend who is the biggest Allen Moore fanboy I know kept trying to tell me why Swamp Thing NEEDED to totally be in the game. But then we also go back to "They still need to sell the DLC", and it kind of reminds me why another bat character isn't THAT bad of an idea when honestly, I want to see NRS do well financially so that they can acquire more resources to give us more and better games.

But hey, no need to apologize for the long post because I personally prefer longer, well-thought out posts like the one you made that actually vocalize an opinion and do so in enough detail that you can actually understand the argument/point of view as opposed to "no ur wrong nd just butthurt". And dude, I hear the "He's a Robin, so just make him a Nightwing skin" and it is sooooo much worse....
