Robo/Human Costume Gameplay Differences?

(Main post drasticly modified after it being confirmed by storms that the classic costumes will be fixed soon.)

With the confirmation id still like to discuss how people feel about Robo and Human versions of the same character being different in subtle to drastic ways. This is referring to Cyrax and Sektor where most people would agree that Robo Cyrax is much better than human other than a safe teleport.

Yea its kinda strange. I thought an alternate costume was just for aesthetics but so far in mk9 it serves a strategic purpose. Gonna be seeing people pick mk2 smoke until its fixed. I'm guessing that cyrax has different startup/recovery on like the net and bombs. Figure it would just be the same frame data but a different animation but thats not the case in this game.I hope they fix it eventually, but so far I've been hoping for weeks that they fix the damn netcode.

Someone who sits down and interviews ANYONE from NRS should make these questions a priority right behind the other, more pressing questions (training mode, WTF happened? Frame data, why don't you guys know it?). I've stated this in another thread, but costume changes should have ZERO affect on the gameplay. The fact that it does is nothing short of mind boggling. Did they even know this was going to happen? If they did and it was their intent, can they explain their logic? They are effectively making these costumes useless to those that don't want to chance a difference in gameplay they have already become accustomed to with their respective character.

But the few hundred members may not be their target audience: the millions of casuals around the world may be - and they won't notice any difference...

100% costumes should be purely for apperence! They need to find a balance somewhere between cyrax's human and robot benefits and make it uniform then make his MK3 the same as those 2.

The smoke and noob alts being unpatched versions are just retarded and should be blatantly fixed and fast.

Current Known Differences.

1. Cyrax Human, Robot, and MK3 are ALL different! 3 characters in 1?!
2. MK2 Smoke is a unpatched version with his OTG still intact.
3. MK2 Noob is a unpatched Noob which kinda sucks in comparison and plays very different due to major changes.
4. MK3 Sektor im pretty sure is the same because he was never patched. (i think) Can someone confirm if Sektor's human and robo froms are identical?
Human Sektor has X-ray combo possibilities in the corner Robo doesn't.

Keep posting the differences that everyone knows. Il keep compiling them in the 2nd post. We need to let NRS know of all of this.

no. cyrax human and robot differences are fine. the classic cyrax still has bomb traps.

How is that a good thing? I should not have to worry about what costume im picking. If i like human cyrax based on how he looks but dont like how he plays im screwed. Costumes should not be like this. If they want H Cyrax and R Cyrax to be different then make them different characters on the select screen as well with their own unique costumes.

For example, how human and robo smoke was in the past. Sure they were VERY different but the level of differences does not matter. If they are different then they are different characters.

They probably thought the net and bombs would look silly if it was the same as robotic, and it would be cool to have different animations, I am fine with this, its cool for pop monsters, it doesn't effect actual gameplay because cyber cyrax is better in everyway so there is no reason to use human if you're being serious.

THe problems with the actual klassic kostumes being upatched versions is annoying though, those outfits were probably made awhile ago before the characters were patched, that is fine, but I just don't understand why they didn't think to check the klassics and bring them up to date before they released them.
I guess the skeleton team working on the DLC and releasing it is just phoning it in right now, either way they need to crack the whip and get on this shit.

Fyi, they are aware of the costume issues and they are "planned" to be patched in an upcoming patch.

Colt said in another thread they're looking to patch this stuff after the season's DLC is over. I don't think the intention is to leave things this way.

I can understand different animations but that should not affect collision or the speed of different attacks. The animation for bombs poping out of robo's chest should be just as fast as the animation of human smoke throwing them from his belt. No hurtbox differences in terms of attack collision.

Not as huge a difference as gameplay mechanics, but after getting the Smoke and Noob classic pack Noob's fatality where he tears them in two gets random ninjas as the partner now. So far I've seen classic Smoke, classic Reptile, and the master Noob not the clone as the helper who rips the opponent in two. At first I thought it was a small easter egg acknowledging Noob Smoke from Deception, but then when the others started appearing I knew something was up.
